@Timcalks @daveclements78@53gaDr3amca5t Or you can acknowledge the fiscal malpractice with the budget. It’s faced significant problems over the last few years. The state as a whole and especially LA has had overly optimistic revenue projections leading to unsustainable levels of spending
@saintultra @Timcalks @daveclements78@53gaDr3amca5t I agree. I also appreciate your ability to create civilized discourse without using any derogatory language. I respect your views and then insights you had on the matter. It seems like a lost art nowadays when trying to discuss politics
@saintultra @Timcalks @daveclements78@53gaDr3amca5t We talk about education in those states but 40% of students across the nation can’t even read at grade level. In Illinois alone there’s 30 different schools where a single kid can’t even read at grade level, 53 for math. We have a national problem, not just in red states
@saintultra @Timcalks @daveclements78@53gaDr3amca5t I’m not disagreeing with you about healthcare lol. I was pointing out how showing a list that shows how poor those states are w/o showing those states cost of living is absurd, the dollar goes further down there than it does in majority of blue states
@Timcalks @daveclements78@53gaDr3amca5t You’re acting like the high cost of living in California doesn’t effect Californians economic well being. The state has the 5th largest in the world but has had 10’s of billions in a deficit in consecutive years. How is that any better?
@Timcalks @daveclements78@53gaDr3amca5t What does this prove if Mississippi, WV, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Alabama, and Tennessee are on the list for top 10 states with the lowest cost of living?
@theRealMPU@IPadron4@RonFilipkowski It’s a joke dude. It’s always the ones that never served that speak the most on the behalf of service members and Veterans.
As if we never used to put our hands in our pockets or corrected fucked up uniform standards on the daily.
@TheDarkWxtch@Khayus_T@ItsGreen412 @undeadbestie Oh wow, maybe forcing people to conform to your ideologies wasn’t the best option.
What gender affirming care you choose to receive is your choice after 18, just don’t expect everyone to agree with your beliefs. Keep your personal life private, it doesn’t have to be flaunted.
@BarackObama Fact Check: False, it was bad policy that has only made insurance companies more money
In the 10 years prior to the ACA the average monthly premium was $849 for families and $304 for individuals. Today, the average monthly premium is $2,131 for families and $747 for individuals.
@JoEllisReally@StephenM You also can't talk about the waste of tax payer dollars and having the military pay for gender affirming care in the same sentence. It should not be the duty of the tax payers/ the military to provide gender affirming care for people who can't accept the sex they were born with
@JoEllisReally@StephenM If this statement was even remotely true, thousands of SM's wouldn't have gotten the boot for refusing the Covid vaccine.
Were you advocating for those qualified deployable people that were getting kicked out with 0 cited evidence? Or does that not fit the narrative
Our troops will be fit — not fat.
Our troops will look sharp — not sloppy.
We seek only quality — not quotas.
BOTTOM LINE: our @DeptofDefense will make standards HIGH & GREAT again — across the entire force.
It is well-documented that California has the nation’s stiffest state income tax while Florida has zero income tax.
But California also has a higher sales tax than FL — indeed, California has the highest state sales tax in the country.
California has the highest gas prices in the nation (~$5/gal vs ~$3/gal in FL as of 3/2025).
And California’s utility rates of 34 cents/kWh (highest in continental US) are double Florida’s rates of 15 cents/kWh.
None of this is by accident. It is the result of deliberate policy choices to elevate leftist ideological commitments over the well-being of the taxpayer.
