I extend my sincere gratitude to the President and the Government of Kenya for the continued support as we work to ensure Kenya is fully prepared to host this continental showpiece.
With nearly 30 stadiums currently under construction across the country, the government’s infrastructure development programme will leave a landmark legacy beyond AFCON. We assure the people of Kenya that together with the Government, we are fully focused on delivering a world-class AFCON and the best edition in the tournament’s history.

Today marks a new chapter in the development of grassroots football in Kenya.
Together branch chairmen, Benard Omondi, Dickson Doyo, Danson Njuguna and Boaz Kaino, I had the privilege of meeting H.E. Ahmed Abdullahi E.G.H, the Chairman of the Council of Governors. Our discussions focused on how county governments can partner with FKF branches to accelerate grassroots football development across the country.
H.E. President Dr. William Ruto has laid a strong foundation by delivering sports infrastructure nationwide, with nearly 30 facilities under construction. He has given us the hardware, as a Federation, our responsibility is the software, building vibrant leagues and competitions that unlock talent development opportunities for millions of our youth.
County governments will be pivotal partners in this investment. Through collaboration, we can ensure every county becomes a hub of opportunities for the youth and football becomes a true driver of social and economic growth.
The journey has begun.
Today marks the beginning of Football Kenya Federation new cycle of CAF Coaching Courses reaffirming our commitment to world-class coach education and player development.
What We Intend to Achieve!
-Standardize excellence, align coaches with current regulations and modern methods.
- Build talent pipeline, better coaches tranlates to better player development from grassroots to the top.
- Continuous professional development, ensure all license holders stay updated on tactics, tech, and safeguarding.
Why This Matters!
Football is changing. The quality of coaching on the training ground determines the quality of football fans see in stadiums. As CAF now requires licenses issued more than three years ago to be renewed through approved refresher courses, these programmes are essential for compliance, career progression, and the overall growth of the game.
By investing in our coaches, FKF is investing in the next generation of Kenyan players, the competitiveness of our clubs, and the future of our national teams.
