- Consistently listing things first
- ATH metrics every other week
- Never goes down
- Makes millions of dollars per day
Almost $10MM in revenue today between the exchange and HLP. $20 BILLION in volume.
Hyperliquid.
$HYPE has been underperforming lately, cooling off after its monster rally in December and as mindshare shifted to AI agents & $TRUMP.
$HYPE however remains very interesting for a few reasons:
In the past 24 hours of madness and volatility, Hyperliquid saw more than $10b in volume generating more than $3m in fees used to buy back $HYPE.
Hyperliquid was the first exchange to list $TRUMP perps which has seen nearly $2b in 24h volume.
Hyperliquid is further the exchange with the most OI for $TRUMP:
• Hyperliquid: $182m
• Binance: $160m
• Bybit: $134m
The exchange is proving to be a serious competitor to the largest businesses in crypto and this is without coin margin and the L1.
@AviFelman put it well in the latest @1000xPod saying:
"these guys just based on being an exchange are undervalued.
If they figure out a way to even get a few applications built on the L1, they deserve to be valued higher"
All in all: continued growth. Large buybacks. Several tailwinds.
Hyperliquid
Hyperliquid is constantly iterating and improving, all in service of its mission to bring all finance onchain. The community has played a crucial role in the ecosystem’s growth, and feedback is taken seriously.
Recently, some misconceptions have emerged regarding validators. To clarify:
+ All validators qualified based on testnet performance. There is no way to buy a seat at the table. Claims otherwise undermine the efforts of the validators who dedicated time and effort to understanding the system. As with all blockchains as they mature, the validator set will increase over time.
+ As previously announced, there will be a Foundation Delegation Program to support high-performing validators and further decentralise the network.
+ Anyone will be able to run an API server pointing at any node. The example client code sends requests to a particular API server, but this is not a fundamental requirement of the network.
+ Yes, users trying to create a black market for testnet HYPE is not acceptable. This has been stated many times. Continued effort will be placed in improving testnet onboarding.
+ Yes, the node code is currently closed source. Open sourcing is important. Projects open source once development is in a stable state. Hyperliquid ships at orders of magnitude faster than most projects. The scope is orders of magnitude larger than most projects as well. Code will be open source when it’s secure to do so.
+ Yes, there is currently one binary. Even very mature networks like Solana have the vast majority of validators running a single client.
Staking is now live on mainnet.
Staking is an important milestone for Hyperliquid because it allows the diverse community of HYPE stakers to collectively secure the network. Like other proof of stake networks, new blocks on Hyperliquid are proposed by validators in proportion to the HYPE staked to them. Staking is a serious responsibility for the Hyperliquid community.
Users can stake HYPE to a trusted validator and earn staking rewards in HYPE. Users may consider different metrics when choosing which validators to stake to, such as uptime, commission, reputation, and community contributions.
The Hyper Foundation will have a Delegation Program to support high-performing validators and further decentralise the network. More information about the program will be announced. Note that locked tokens may be staked, but their rewards are locked.
