The Court reaffirms its commitment to protecting and guaranteeing the rights of all women and underscores the need to strengthen inter-American standards on equality and non-discrimination, as well as to promote a life free of violence and discrimination in all spheres.
Every February 18, Women's Day in the Americas is commemorated, a date that invites us to recognize the historic struggle of women on the continent for equality, political participation, and the full exercise of their rights.

The I/A Court of H.R. is convening a public hearing for the States, organs of the Inter-American System, and other actors that submitted written observations in the context of Request for OC-33, submitted by Guatemala, on democracy and its protection in the I/A H.R. System.
The hearing will be held in person from March 17 to 20, 2026, in Brasilia, during the Court's 187th Session, with the aim of receiving oral arguments from those who have already participated in this request.
