Deeply shocked & saddened by the untimely passing of Dr. Beela Venkatesan, IAS (TN:1997).

A distinguished officer, she led with compassion & commitment — most memorably as Tamilnadu’s Health Secretary during COVID-19. Her contributions across health, energy, fisheries & disaster management leave a lasting legacy.

Her passing is a profound loss to the Service.
