THE SELF-TITLED ALBUM IS BACK IN PRODUCTION. 👑🔥
June 17, 2023.
That was when I was talking about finally getting into the mixing stage of my self-titled debut album. The songs were recorded. The vision was there. I thought I was getting ready to finish it.
Then life happened.
That fall, I started going through a lot personally. I had to step away, regroup, relearn some things, rebuild some things, and honestly grow through some things.
Now here we are three years later. And I'm ready.
The only difference is that I'm not the same artist I was in 2023.
Over these last three years, I've lived more. I've learned more. I've written more. I've gotten better behind the microphone, better at production, better at recording, better at mixing, and much clearer about what I want J-Luv Da Prince to sound like.
So instead of trying to force the 2023 version of this album across the finish line, I'm reopening production.
Some of those original records are STILL crazy to me.
Do Better.
Down on Me.
FaceTime.
Fake Love 2.
Feelings.
Finesse.
From Above.
Good Love.
Gossip.
Heavy Heart.
Hold On.
And there's more.
But after three years, some of the beats I originally recorded to, aren't available for lease anymore.
That means I've got decisions to make.
Some songs may stay exactly where they are. Some may get completely re-recorded. Some may get rewritten. Some songs I love may get brand-new production built around the original idea. Some may not make the album anymore.
And I'm definitely adding NEW records because there is no way I'm going to ignore everything I've experienced, written, and learned over these last three years.
I'm not trying to recreate 2023.
I'm taking the strongest pieces of what I started back then and combining them with the artist I am NOW.
And for any older records where the original production can't legally be cleared, I'm going to handle it the right way. If the original producer and I can work something out, beautiful. If not, I'll rebuild the record around new production instead of throwing away a song I still believe in.
Because the song might still deserve to live even if the original beat can't come with it.
So no, I'm not starting over.
I'm finishing what I started — with three more years of life behind it.
Maybe this album should've been finished years ago.
Maybe it wasn't supposed to be.
Because listening back now, I already know there are things I can do with these records today that I couldn't have done then.
Better performances.
Better vocals.
Better production.
Better mixes.
Better writing.
More emotion.
More experience.
More J-Luv.
So for everybody who has followed this music journey and remembers when I first started talking about this album...
IT'S ON AND POPPING AGAIN. 👑
The self-titled debut is officially back on the table.
Songs are getting reviewed.
Production is getting reevaluated.
Records are getting rebuilt.
New music is getting added.
And this time, we're taking this thing all the way across the finish line.
Three years later...
J-LUV DA PRINCE — SELF-TITLED.
Production reopened.
Maybe I lost some time.
Or maybe I gained exactly what the album was missing.
The best might still be ahead. 👑

New year, same pressure — ain’t shit changing over here. I didn’t wait for January to get serious and I’m not making announcements now. I’m still busting my ass, training hard, sharpening my body and mind, and leveling up at what I actually care about. No fake resolutions. No panic. No stress over what I can’t control. Just discipline, consistency, and family first — it’s always been about family, I’m just going deeper this year. We gone get some things straight quietly and let the results talk. Hope everybody’s doing well… and not on here cosplaying discipline or fronting about what you already know you ain’t gonna do 😏

People really do move different when they see you moving different. Funny how the same folks who couldn't find their voice a year or two ago suddenly got plenty to say now. Men I thought had an issue with me? Now they're speaking like nothing ever happened. Cool. No hard feelings. I just notice patterns. Success has a funny way of making people more social.
Now let's talk about the other side of it.
I knew getting stronger was gonna bring attention. That's not rocket science. Most men know women notice confidence, discipline, and muscle. I signed up for the work—not the extra attention.
But here's where it gets awkward.
If you're in your early twenties and I'm 40, I'm probably not your destination. Trust me, there's a dude your age out there who's a much better fit than me. Go let him stress over whether you text back. I've already got enough plates to keep loaded.
Don't get me wrong—I appreciate the compliment. Respect is always appreciated. But appreciation doesn't mean availability. Discipline isn't just about saying yes to the gym; it's about knowing when to say no everywhere else.
Some people chase attention. I'd rather protect my peace. If that sounds boring, so be it. Peace has been paying me better than chaos ever did.

I used to think I was organized... then I opened my recording and production folders and realized I've been running a witness protection program for unfinished songs.
Half the battle in music isn't making tracks, it's finding them six months later. Every producer and artist knows the pain of staring at folders named "Final," "Final 2," "Final FINAL," and somehow still ending up opening the wrong file.
If your hard drive looks like a crime scene, you're not alone. But eventually, the chaos starts costing more than the creativity. Lost ideas, duplicate sessions, missing stems, and hours spent searching instead of creating. Ask yourself: how many great records are hiding under a folder called "New Beat"?
Today's reminder: organize the catalog before the catalog organizes your schedule. Future-you deserves better than playing detective every time inspiration strikes.
Funny how we spend thousands on gear to improve our sound, but won't spend thirty minutes improving our workflow.
Message received. Hard drive humbled me. Lesson learned.

I know I should have posted this yesterday, but it's still Father's Day in some parts of the country, so here we go:
Happy Father's Day to the dads who stayed when staying wasn't easy.
Anybody can be a father when the baby is smiling, the bills are paid, and everybody is getting along. The real test comes when life starts throwing punches. Sleepless nights. Financial stress. Relationship problems. Disagreements. Hurt feelings. Pride. That's when a lot of men find out if they're committed to being a father or just committed to convenience.
To the fathers and soon-to-be fathers, understand something: your child is watching even when they can't speak. They're learning what love looks like, what responsibility looks like, and what consistency looks like. Every time you show up, you're teaching a lesson. Every time you disappear, you're teaching one too.
If things get rocky with the mother of your child, fight for your place in your child's life before you fight for the last word in an argument. One battle feeds your ego. The other builds a future.
Now let's be honest. Kids don't care who won the argument ten years ago. They remember who showed up to the game. Who answered the phone. Who taught them how to ride a bike. Who sat beside them when life got hard.
Being a father isn't about being perfect. It's about being present.
And if you're a dad who's still standing, still learning, still growing, and still showing up despite your mistakes, keep going. Your child doesn't need a superhero. They need their father.
Funny how some men can fight harder to keep a parking spot than a relationship with their own child. Let that sink in.
Happy Father's Day to the fathers who stayed, the fathers who came back and made it right, and the fathers doing everything they can to leave their children with memories instead of questions.

If I can't have fun at the gym, it just ain't worth it anymore. So if you catch me breaking out a little dance, hitting a two-step between sets, or hear a random vocal melody floating through the air, yeah... that's me. I'm not here to audition for the Gym Police or impress the girl curling in the squat rack. I'm here to get stronger, stay consistent, and actually enjoy the process.
Too many people quit because they treat every workout like a prison sentence. Me? I'm turning it into a concert, a celebration, and a challenge all at once. Life's too short to spend an hour looking miserable just because somebody thinks fitness has to be serious 24/7.
Now don't get it twisted—I'm still putting in the work, still chasing progress, and still respecting everybody else's space. But if having fun while grinding bothers somebody, that's a problem they can superset with their own insecurities.
So tell me: when did enjoying yourself become a fitness violation? Because the last time I checked, results don't care whether you got them with a smile or a scowl.
Either way, if you hear singing from the next rack over, don't worry—I didn't lose my mind. I'm just making sure I don't lose my love for the journey.

Look, I don't really post those number breakdowns like I used to, but let's not act like people who know me don't know where I stand. I've been consistent for years. I didn't suddenly wake up one day and change my mind.
Now, if you believe every outcome, every storyline, every miracle comeback, every heartbreaking collapse, and every perfectly timed headline just happens organically every single time... hey, that's your right. I'm not here to tell anybody what to think.
What I will say is this: asking questions isn't a crime. Noticing patterns isn't a crime. Using your own eyes, your own brain, and your own common sense shouldn't be controversial.
Maybe everything is exactly as we're told. Maybe it isn't. That's for each person to decide.
Either way, don't let anybody shame you for being curious. The moment people get uncomfortable with questions is usually the moment the questions become worth asking.
But what do I know? I'm just a guy who noticed the numbers keep showing up at some very interesting moments. 🤷🏾♂️
Stay observant. Stay objective. Stay independent. And most importantly, don't confuse entertainment with reality.

They sold this movie like Johnny Cage was about to carry the entire thing on his back, only for Kitana to walk in, quietly steal the spotlight, and remind everybody whose realm this really is. Not that I'm complaining—she was easily one of the strongest parts of the movie. The real issue is that the story felt like it had somewhere important to be and refused to stop for directions. A little more breathing room could've turned several good moments into great ones. Still, when the fights hit, they HIT, and the character moments did just enough heavy lifting to keep me invested. Funny how the movie they advertised isn't quite the movie we got, but somehow the movie we got ended up being better in a few key ways. Just don't blink, or you'll miss half the plot sprinting to the next scene.

If we’re talking real-life cage fights, prime Arnold is tougher than most people give him credit for. In the movies, sure, John Wick or Black Widow look unstoppable, but that’s just Hollywood. In reality, Bruce Lee stands out as the most dangerous one-on-one fighter. And don’t sleep on Chuck Norris. People turn him into a punchline, but the truth is, he was a serious martial artist with real credentials.
