🗨️ “Combining anti-TNF and anti-IL-23 was safe and showed superiority in the toughest to treat #UlcerativeColitis patients,” said Dr. @ibddocmaria
❗@JNJNews’ co-antibody combination also helped treat #Crohns, parallel studies at #DDW2026 found. https://t.co/ZL2CgAmeNk
Our very own Dr. Puja Khanna joined Connecting to Cure's live podcast event 'A Body Owner's Guide to IBD' on May 16th. An incredible evening of education, advocacy, & community. So proud of Dr. Khanna for sharing her expertise & time with the #IBD community!
Honored to be recognized as one of Becker's 5 GI Power Players ❤️ This work is only possible because of the patients who inspire us every day & trust us with their care. Grateful to be part of such a passionate community pushing IBD research forward. #IBD https://t.co/Oh8SJPVYax
I was proud to present Phase 2b results from the DUET-UC trial at @DDWMeeting 2026, showing that a novel dual-antibody therapy targeting IL-23 & TNF produced stronger outcomes than either drug alone in patients with treatment-resistant #UlcerativeColitis. https://t.co/aPcEWaWeza

AI came up with a diagnosis in under a minute that the students missed.
That’s powerful.
But if the machine thinks for us…
how do the next generation of doctors learn to think at all?
This is the tension we need to solve.

This year marks the 5th anniversary of @ScrubsNHeels Women’s Leadership Conference.
Yes, it’s about leadership.
But it’s also about so much more.
It’s a weekend that belongs to us.
Permission to show up fully.
Space to learn, reflect, and grow, without performing.
A setting designed to inspire, not exhaust.
Every year I learn something new.
But what stays with me are the women.
The conversations.
The shared experiences.
The reminder that none of us are doing this alone.
If you’ve never attended, this is the year.
Come see what the fuss is about.
Come for the leadership.
Stay for the community.
All women in GI.
You belong here.
And yes it’s AI & I’m learning so cut me some slack 🫠
Happy New Year from @MASTprogram! We are looking forward to 2026. Exciting treatments and discoveries in #SIBO, #IMO, #ISO, #IBS and the #microbiome
1. Phase IIB study on new drug for IBS-D that specifically treats hydrogen and hydrogen sulfide on breath test. Starting in 2 weeks.
2. Advancement of anti-methanogen program to hopefully be able to start human trials of new drug in early 2027.
3. Development of drug to treat anti-vinculin #IBS patients. Great progress here!
4. Further understanding of #SIBO in multi-omics approach. Other treatment approaches possible.
5. Publish the studies showing the critical importance of measuring three gases on breath testing. That's coming out soon.
6. Data from the pediatric #REIMAGINE study will begin to emerge.
7. New bacterial relationships in obesity, liver disease and metabolic disorders (just wait and see) from #REIMAGINE and possibly new drug here.
8. Many others...stay tuned.
Kicking off our virtual @AmerGastroAssn Regional Workshop with @barbarahjung discussing “Leading from Within”
Big takeaways:
✨ Lead yourself first
✨ Listen before you lead
✨ Influence > authority
✨ Find alignment, not control
✨ Shared goals > “us vs them”
Leadership starts with self-awareness and grows through connection.
