#watch: Jammu: Ahead of the annual Amarnath Yatra, IGP Bhim Sen Tuti said that all pilgrims travelling by road from Lakhanpur to Jammu will once again be provided security through a dedicated mini convoy before joining the main Yatra convoy to Kashmir.
He said the initiative, introduced last year, was aimed at ensuring the safety of pilgrims arriving in Jammu by road. The main convoy carrying pilgrims proceeds from Jammu to Banihal and further into Kashmir.
The IGP urged devotees to reach Jammu between 6:00 am and 8:00 pm. He cautioned that those arriving after 8:00 pm will have to halt at Lakhanpur, as security protocols do not permit their movement to Jammu during late hours.
