Congratulations to Prof. V. Kamakoti, Director, @iitmadras, on receiving the Padma Shri. His distinguished contributions to science and engineering, unwavering commitment to the vision of #NEP2020 and stewardship of pioneering initiatives, like BodhanAI and the Centre of Excellence in AI for Education are helping shape an innovation-driven and knowledge-powered Bharat. I was delighted to participate recently in the @eoiberlin (Embassy of India, Berlin) Lecture Series VII in Berlin, organised by the Embassy of India, Berlin, on the theme “The Ultimate Subject Matter: Self and Reality in the Digital Era.”
The discussions brought together diverse perspectives from science and Vedanta, exploring how consciousness, artificial intelligence, and India's rich knowledge traditions can collectively enrich our understanding of intelligence and reality in an increasingly digital world.
It was a privilege to share the platform with distinguished spiritual leaders and scholars and to engage with an audience of over 150 scientists, researchers, students, and professionals. Such interdisciplinary dialogues reaffirm the importance of transcending conventional boundaries and embracing a holistic approach to knowledge creation. As AI research continues to evolve, meaningful conversations at the intersection of science, philosophy, and consciousness will become increasingly significant. India, with its unique blend of scientific excellence and civilisational wisdom, is well-positioned to contribute to this emerging global discourse.
I am grateful to the Embassy of India, Berlin, for bringing together this vibrant community of thinkers and fostering an exchange of ideas that resonates far beyond disciplinary boundaries.

Driving the Future of Healthcare with AI
AMCHAM’s Eastern Region recently convened a thought-provoking virtual roundtable on ‘AI in Life Sciences & Healthcare: Innovation to Impact – Unlocking Value and Scaling AI in Healthcare and Life Sciences.’ The session brought together leading voices from industry, academia, and government to discuss how artificial intelligence is reshaping healthcare delivery, accelerating innovation in MedTech and life sciences, improving diagnostics, and enhancing patient outcomes. Discussions focused on the need for scalable, responsible, and outcome-oriented AI adoption, supported by strong data ecosystems, public-private collaboration, and workforce readiness.
A key theme that emerged was that the true value of AI lies not in replacing healthcare professionals, but in empowering them to deliver more accessible, affordable, and equitable healthcare at scale.
