For IPS, this year’s ILEARN results provide a new starting point for measuring student achievement and tracking academic performance for future years.

The recent results establish a clear new performance baseline for Indianapolis Public Schools. While the overall district baselines were set at 21.1% proficiency in ELA and 21.2% in Math, localized data shows distinct pockets of high performance.

The Indiana Department of Education released 2025–26 ILEARN results today, establishing 2026 as a new performance baseline. Because the assessment was redesigned, the state cautions that this year’s results should not be directly compared with previous ILEARN results.
