“We believe we have a moral and ethical responsibility to protect Israel’s soldiers, civilian security teams, and the citizens they defend.”
At the @JNS_org International Policy Summit, our Executive Director, Kyle Blank, shared why Israel Friends exists and why protecting Israel’s defenders is a responsibility we all share.
Watch the conversation. 🇮🇱
Today, we celebrate more than Independence Day.
We celebrate the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence and the enduring ideals that have shaped our nation for generations.
Freedom. Liberty. Courage. Opportunity.
As we reflect on America’s past, we also honor the men and women who continue to defend those principles at home and alongside our allies around the world.
From all of us at Israel Friends, Happy Independence Day. 🇺🇸

A soldier’s most important piece of equipment isn’t always a weapon.
It’s the kit that keeps them alive long enough to make it home.

The hardest conversations are often the ones we have with ourselves.
The ones that begin with:
“I’m not okay.”
“I need help.”
“I can’t carry this alone anymore.”
Healing from trauma starts with finding the courage to take that first step.
At Matanya Farm, soldiers, survivors, and those living with PTSD find a place to breathe, connect, and begin rebuilding parts of themselves that trauma tried to take away.
Because healing doesn’t just change one life– it strengthens families, relationships, and entire communities.
This PTSD Awareness Month, help make healing possible.

In the past few days, Israel has lost two more heroes in operational activity in southern Lebanon.
Captain David Hazut, 21, from Ashkelon, a platoon commander in the Golani Brigade’s 12th Battalion, fell in combat.
Master Sergeant (Res.) Basil Sweid, 32, from Peki’in, a driver in the 7th Brigade’s 75th Battalion, fell during operational activity.
We mourn their loss and honor their courage and sacrifice in defense of the people of Israel.
Our deepest condolences go out to their families, friends, fellow soldiers, and loved ones. May they find strength, comfort, and peace during this incredibly difficult time.
May their memories forever be a blessing.
Israel’s heroes answer the call.
We answer theirs.
From life-saving equipment and advanced technology to critical trauma care, we fill the gaps where support is needed most.
Driven by urgency. Guided by purpose. Committed to Israel.
Real heroes. Real impact. 🇮🇱

⚠️ A new battlefield threat is putting Israeli soldiers at risk.
Hezbollah’s fiber-optic FPV drones are difficult to detect, impossible to jam, and capable of striking with little warning.
Israel Friends is responding with:
🛡️ Defense Innovation
🚁 Surveillance & Tactical Drones
⛑️ IFAKs
🚑 Life-Saving Emergency Equipment
Help protect Israel’s defenders.

Behind every fallen hero is a wife, a mother, a family carrying on without the person they loved most.
On International Widows’ Day, we honor the women whose strength and resilience inspire us every day. As they carry forward the legacy of Israel’s heroes, we stand with them and remember the sacrifices they continue to make.
🕯️ May the memories of Israel’s fallen heroes forever be a blessing.

PTSD doesn’t affect only those who experience trauma—it impacts families, friends, and entire communities.
This PTSD Awareness Month, we recognize that mental health remains one of Israel’s most urgent needs. Through our Healthy Mind program, Israel Friends is helping provide psychiatric care to those rebuilding their lives.
Since October 7, countless civilians, soldiers, first responders, survivors, and loved ones across Israel have been carrying invisible wounds. Healing takes time, support, and access to critical mental health care.
When we help one person heal, we help strengthen an entire community.

🚨 Israeli soldiers are facing a battlefield threat unlike anything before.
Hezbollah’s fiber-optic drones evade traditional defenses, flying undetected and attacking with devastating precision. Every day, our troops are forced to confront this growing danger.
Time is critical.

Earlier today, the IDF announced that Master Sergeant (Res.) Alexander Filin, 29, from Haifa, a combat soldier in the 36th Division Command Post, fell in combat in southern Lebanon.
Alexander was killed while operating alongside soldiers from the 36th Division and the Givati Brigade near the Litani River, when a Hezbollah explosive device detonated beside the force. At least seven other soldiers were wounded in the attack.
We send our deepest condolences, prayers, and strength to Alexander's family and loved ones.
May his memory be a blessing.
June is PTSD Awareness Month.
On our mission trip, we visited Kibbutz Be’eri and spoke with Ofir Engel and community members about the horrors of October 7.
Ofir shared that surviving Hamas captivity was only half the battle—coming home meant facing a new war: healing the mind, regaining inner peace, and rebuilding balance.
The new frontline in Israel is mental health, and Israel Friends is committed to supporting civilians, families, soldiers, and survivors on their path to recovery.
This PTSD Awareness Month, stand with those carrying invisible wounds and help bring healing to the people of Israel.
