The Indian Air Force deeply regrets the loss of five personnel in the An-32 accident at Jorhat, Assam.

Sqn Ldr Prashant Singh, Flt Lt Shubham Kumar, Sgt Jitendra Sharma, Agniveervayu Khemaram Kumawat and Agniveervayu Danish Alam made the supreme sacrifice in the line of duty.

IAF extends its deepest condolences to the bereaved families and stands firmly with them in this hour of grief.

An IAF An-32 aircraft met with an accident during a routine sortie today at approximately 1000h at Jorhat, Assam. Crash site management and initial enquiries are on at this time. IAF requests everyone to refrain from speculation till preliminary results are not in.

IAF deeply regrets the loss of lives and stands firmly with the bereaved families in this time of grief.

The parade was reviewed by AVM Atul Laxmandas Golani, CTTO, HQ TC, #IAF. The POP marks successful culmination of 22 weeks of #military & transformative ab-initio #training.

The event was also a moment of pride & emotion for the families of Agniveervayus, who were present in large numbers to witness the #POP.

The Reviewing Officer congratulated all passing out trainees and exhorted to remain vigilant & committed to their duties, ready to serve the nation with pride.

PASSING OUT PARADE OF #AGNIVEERVAYU TRAINEES AT AIRMEN TRAINING SCHOOL BELAGAVI

1172 #Agniveervayus passed out on 06 June 26 in an impeccable Passing Out Parade at #AirmenTrainingSchool Belagavi. This marked the successful culmination of 22 weeks of transformative ab-initio #training. The #parade was reviewed by Air Vice Marshal Mukesh Kumar Yadav, Command Flying Training Officer, #HQTC , #IAF.
The Reviewing Officer congratulated the passing out contingent and urged them to adapt and evolve with the changing needs of our nation.
Proud families of Agniveervayus witnessed the parade. The enthralling display by #SarangHelicopterTeam on the occasion, which marked their maiden performance at ATS Belagavi, made the event truly spectacular

Le Chef d’état-major de l’armée de l’air, Air Chief Marshal AP Singh, PVSM AVSM, a conclu une visite officielle de trois jours en France, réaffirmant le partenariat profondément ancré entre l’IAF et l’Armée de l’air et de l’espace française (AAEF).

Le Chef d’état-major a tenu des entretiens bilatéraux avec le général Jér��me Bellanger, Chef d’état-major de l’Armée de l’air et de l’espace, au quartier général de l’AAEF à Balard, où il a été accueilli avec les honneurs militaires d’une garde d’honneur.

Le Chef d’état-major a également rendu visite au général Vincent Giraud, Chef d’état-major militaire du Président de la République française, et s’est adressé aux officiers, dont des élèves-officiers indiens en échange, à l’��cole de guerre, École Militaire.

Le Chef d’état-major a visité le Centre de combat aérien de Mont-de-Marsan, effectué un vol de familiarisation à bord de l’A-400M depuis la base aérienne d’Orléans, et rencontré des industriels de défense de premier plan, notamment Dassault Aviation, Thales, Safran et MBDA, faisant ainsi progresser l’initiative #MakeInIndia.

The 75th Inter Services #AquaticsChampionship got underway at Air Force Station Yelahanka with its inauguration on 01 Jun 26 by Air Marshal Samir Jayasinha Pendse, Senior Air Staff Officer, Training Command, IAF. #Swimmers and #divers from the #IndianArmy, #IndianNavy, and #IndianAirForce are participating in the event, which will culminate on 06 June 2026. The championship also serves as a platform to identify the finest aquatic talent from the Services, with selected swimmers earning the opportunity to represent the Services team at the 79th Senior National Aquatics Championship to be held in Ahmedabad.

Air Marshal Tarun Chaudhry assumed charge as Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Central Air Command on 01 Jun 2026. Commissioned into the Fighter stream of the Indian Air Force in Dec 1989, he brings vast operational and leadership experience. Prior to this appointment, he was serving as Senior Air Staff Officer at HQ Southern Air Command.

He succeeds Air Marshal B Manikantan, who superannuated on 31 May 2026 after rendering four decades of distinguished service.
