See the kids don’t need football games to be 15 minutes long cos of TikTok brain, they just need to make all the games like PSG v Bayern so it’s actually worth watching. Make it fun. Let them dribble I say
@ProfRobAnderson I once set a multiple choice paper of 20 questions where I made every answer C. When reviewed by the external examiner they refused to approve it and made me mix the answers. I still say it is worth doing though, as a test of nerve for the students
It’s obviously up to every commentator to decide on how they want to describe the game, but to say that calling a defensive error “a disaster” or “catastrophe” cheapens Hillsborough or any other real life disaster is clearly nonsense. Language has context.
Respectfully as a commentator of 40 years I must disagree here. A tragedy or disaster is Hillsboro or Bradford or Heysel, not a defender making a mess of a clearance.
It’s a basic tenet of commentary that we don’t cheapen actual catastrophes by likening them to errors in sport.
This is how the best golfers on earth used to dress. We traded these in for light blue performance polos and we wonder why society is in decline. MORE BIRDS. Thank you Jason Day.
@Nareystoepoker Once Perth is ruled out I don't think it makes a huge difference where it is. All options are c.3 hr drive. The kick off time is a bigger issue.
