Exciting, educative, team building and teamwork is what has been served to us during the intensive Lab. Spending 12 days with creative minds is really overwhelming. It is a chance got once in a lifetime. Thank you @tebereartsfoundation for giving us a chance as 2024/25 cohort.
THE SCRIPT TABLE
The Script Table is a new, open and collaborative digital platform created to bring screen and stage scripts to life through live online table reads, constructive critique and shared learning. It seeks to nurture the craft of writing, amplify creative voices and help writers elevate their narratives.
The platform was born out of a common challenge among writers: many screenplays and stage plays remain stored away without ever receiving meaningful feedback from readers, actors or fellow creatives. The Script Table provides a space where writers can hear their stories performed, discover what works, identify areas that need improvement and refine their scripts before taking them to a wider audience.
Although the platform is still preparing for its official operations, registration for members, known as Tablers, is currently open. The sessions will primarily take place online, making the community accessible to creatives both within Uganda and beyond. A physical space is also available for possible future activities.
The Script Table is designed for screenwriters, playwrights, actors, aspiring writers, lovers of creativity and anyone interested in understanding how stories are created for the screen and stage. It is also a welcoming space for people who simply want to learn how to write.
The initiative offers an opportunity to move stories from the pages and computer drives into a space where they can be heard, questioned, discussed and improved.
Writers and creatives are encouraged to become part of the community and contribute to building a stronger culture of collaboration and feedback around storytelling.

The story may begin with the writer, but it becomes stronger when others get to hear it.
Shout-out to David Mukama (@iamdavemuk) and his team for this great initiative for the ecosystem

I MADE ROOM for MAKE ROOM
Last year, I was privileged to stage manage this wonderful play, MAKE ROOM, and maybe at that moment, I didn't enjoy it as much. However, this time around, I was privileged to sit and enjoy the artistry of @b_ibarah and I was blown away. Oh my days!
