In these times, when we’re focused on not drowning in the hurricane of hatred and antisemitism, our personal feelings often take a backseat. Since that dreadful day in October, our hearts and minds have been solely focused on our land and people. From the moment I heard this song, I felt compelled to cover it, as it conveyed so much of what we’ve struggled to express in recent months. The original “October Rain” was deemed “too political” for the world stage, leading to the release of a more neutral version, “Hurricane.” I am sharing “October Rain” in its raw, authentic form to voice our nation’s true sentiments. May the floods dry up with the warm sunshine of Moshiach’s arrival!
Sometimes we want so badly to come closer to Hashem, but we don’t even know how to begin. These words are our tefillah: Hashem, bring us closer to You, and we will come. Open the door for us, help us take that first step, and lead us back to where we belong.
As we get closer to Rosh Hashana, may we all feel that closeness, and may every step we take toward Hashem be met with His arms wide open.
Looking forward to davening together this Rosh Hashana and Yom Kippur at Beth El in Boro Park. If you haven’t yet, reserve your seats now at https://t.co/003yBfPIrP.
Chana waited and davened for years for the gift of a child. Her tefillah was answered with the birth of Shmuel HaNavi, and every year on Rosh Hashanah, we read her story in the Haftorah. For those waiting for that same bracha, it is known as an auspicious time to daven for their own yeshua.
But Chana’s tefillah is a reminder for all of us. We’re all coming into these days with something we’re asking for, something we’re waiting for, something only Hashem knows how deeply we need. Whatever your tefillah is, may this be the year it is answered. May we see the yeshuos we’ve been waiting for and a year filled with only good news!

What better way to head into the High Holy Days than in the Holy Land?
Join me for Selichos in Yerushalayim on Motzei Shabbos, September 5.
New York, stay tuned for Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur davening details!
During the Nine Days, we mourn the Churban and the absence of the Beis HaMikdash.
Every loss we experience is ultimately part of that same reality. In a world of geulah, death and suffering wouldn’t exist.
This past Friday was my sister’s ע”ה yahrtzeit. Today was my father’s ז”ל. Standing by their kevarim, I couldn’t help but imagine what life will be like with Moshiach.
May we merit the rebuilding of the Beis HaMikdash and celebrate this Tisha B’Av in Yerushalayim, reunited with all our loved ones!
What a night!
Thank you, Yerushalayim. There truly is no place in the world I’d rather be, and getting to sing beneath your skies just makes it that much more special.
Thank you, @Mdais, for having me back again for the Chassidut BeClass show, and to producer Itschak Roshi for doing an incredible job bringing the evening to life.
It’s a night I look forward to year after year. 🤍

As the business and bustle of the week slowly fade away, a feeling of peace begins to settle in. The moment of hadlakas neiros carries that familiar stillness - when the candles are lit and the light of Shabbos gently fills the home. For this medley, we wanted to gather some of the melodies that capture those Friday night feelings: the tefillos quietly whispered, the calm that settles over the house, and the first breath of Shabbos entering the world.

Where would you be if you stopped treating limitations as the end of the road? Everything you need to take the next step is already within you. You don’t have to be fearless, certain, or perfectly ready, only willing to start and bold enough to keep going. Progress belongs to those who move forward with positivity and belief, who take ownership of their path, and who understand that challenge isn’t there to stop us, but to reveal who we’re capable of becoming. It begins with a single step, and once you take it, nothing standing in front of you is bigger than what you’re capable of. You can rise beyond limitations, strive higher, and dare to “Do the Impossible.”

Ever since hearing this song on Hanan Ben Ari’s new album, it’s been stuck in my head. After performing it live in Israel a few weeks ago, I connected with it even more. With the snow falling outside and nowhere to go, I snuck into the studio today to record a quick cover. Maybe snow days aren’t so bad after all. 😌🫶
