InMed Pharmaceuticals & Mentari Therapeutics Announce Merger to Advance Migraine Prevention Therapies
"This transaction provides us with the capital and public market infrastructure to aggressively compete in what we believe will be the next era of migraine prevention. Recent anti-PACAP clinical studies have validated this novel mechanism and generated tremendous excitement among headache specialists. MT-001 and MT-002 were designed to be potentially best-in-class, with superior convenience through subcutaneous delivery and the potential for enhanced efficacy through rational dual pathway inhibition. We have a clear regulatory path, rapid development timelines benchmarked to approved migraine therapies, and are focused on bringing these potentially transformative therapies to the millions of people who continue to suffer despite current treatment options."

Today, InMed announced a definitive merger agreement with Mentari Therapeutics to advance a pipeline of potentially best-in-class therapies for migraine prevention. The transaction includes a concurrent oversubscribed private investment of US$290 million led by Fairmount with participation from Commodore Capital, Deep Track Capital, Janus Henderson Investors, a16z Bio + Health, Venrock Healthcare Capital Partners, Wellington Management, TCGX, Blackstone Multi-Asset Investing, BB Biotech, Farallon Capital, RTW Investments, LP, Vivo Capital, Perceptive Advisors and other leading investment management firms.
The combined company will focus on advancing MT-001, an anti-PACAP monoclonal antibody, and MT-002, an anti-CGRP x PACAP bispecific antibody, which are expected to drive the next wave of migraine prevention, given that 40-50% of those taking currently approved therapies do not achieve a 50% reduction in monthly migraine days, and fewer than one-third have a 75% reduction.
The merger and associated financing are expected to fund the company's efforts through 2028, positioning us to rapidly advance the co-lead programs through key clinical data inflection points, with regulatory submissions expected mid-2026 (MT-001) and 1Q 2027 (MT-002).
We are thrilled to celebrate this transformative milestone with all involved.

InMed's President and CEO, Eric A. Adams, presents at Renmark Financial's Virtual Non-Deal Roadshow on February 26, 2026.
In the presentation and Q&A, Mr. Adams gives an overview of the company's pharmaceutical programs, including lead drug candidate INM-901 for Alzheimer's disease, and answers these questions:
-How soon do you expect to start INM-901 Phase 1 clinical trial enrollment following a successful IND application?
-Will a Phase 1 clinical trial of INM-901 be conducted in healthy volunteers or in patients living with Alzheimer's disease?
-As INM-901 moves into the clinical development phase, do you expect to increase headcount or will this be outsourced?
-While you've had promising preclinical data of INM-901 so far, what gives you the confidence INM-901's preclinical results will translate similarly into human clinical trials?

InMed has conducted several in vitro and in vivo studies to test the pharmacological effects of INM-901 in Alzheimer’s disease preclinical models with promising results demonstrating disease-modifying effects.
A summary of INM-901 preclinical study results:
➡️ Demonstrates neuroprotective effects by reducing cell death in an amyloid-beta-induced cytotoxicity study
➡️ Demonstrates significant reduction in inflammatory biomarkers associated with Alzheimer’s, including IFN-γ, TNF-α, IL-1β, KC-GRO, IL-2 & NfL
➡️ May have a direct impact on neuroinflammation independent of the influence of amyloid beta or tau aggregation
➡️ Demonstrates an ability to promote neurite outgrowth, signifying the potential to improve neuronal function, a potential breakthrough in the treatment of Alzheimer’s disease
➡️ Demonstrates a trend in improvement in cognitive function and memory, locomotor activity, anxiety-based behavior, sound awareness and neuronal function
➡️ Demonstrates robust bioavailability in in vivo models, achieving what is anticipated to be therapeutic levels of systemic exposure
➡️ Additional mRNA data supports the observations made in behavior studies in locomotor activity, cognition and memory.
