A young life lost to chitta in Harindra Nagar, Faridkot. This is the reality that no “Yudh Nashian Virudh” campaign can cover up. While @BhagwantMann and @ArvindKejriwal spend crores on anti-drug publicity, Punjab’s families continue to confront the same crisis on the ground.

They came to power promising to end drugs in 3–4 months, later extending that promise to six months. Years have passed, but the deadline keeps moving while Punjab’s young lives are being lost.

I strongly condemn the FIR registered against Congress MLA @SukhpalKhaira.

Questioning the illegal use of government property cannot be used as a reason to silence the Opposition. The Supreme Court has also recognised that FIRs are public documents, subject to legal safeguards.

Rather, @AamAadmiParty leaders from outside Punjab are occupying government residences in violation of the rules. I demand that @DGPPunjabPolice investigate these unauthorised occupations and register FIRs wherever violations are found.

@AamAadmiParty must understand: police cases cannot silence the Congress. Punjab will not allow intimidation to stop questions about public accountability. The entire Congress party stands with Sukhpal Singh Khaira.

It is now established beyond doubt that Gyanesh Kumar changed Form 6 illegally and unilaterally.

I welcome the Hon’ble High Court’s decision in the corruption case linked to the Chief Minister’s Office. The investigation must now be fair, impartial, transparent and time-bound-with no delay, political pressure or attempt to dilute it.

Everyone responsible for causing loss to Punjab’s exchequer must be held accountable, regardless of how powerful or influential they may be.

@AamAadmiParty came to power promising to fight corruption and strengthen the Lokpal. If corruption has now reached from the MLA level to the Chief Minister’s Office, there must be complete accountability.

Punjab’s exchequer belongs to its people. Every rupee must be accounted for.

दिल्ली में इस वक़्त जो हो रहा है, उसका एक ही पैटर्न है - जो औरत सवाल पूछे, उसे चुप कराओ।

जंतर-मंतर पर सैकड़ों लोग हिरासत में लिए गए। महिला प्रदर्शनकारियों ने आरोप लगाया कि पुरुष पुलिसकर्मियों ने उनके साथ बदसलूकी की। महिला पत्रकारों के कैमरे छीने गए, उन्हें घसीटा गया। एक पत्रकार की शिकायत पर FIR तक दर्ज नहीं हुई।

कुछ हफ्तों पहले शाहीन और नफ़ीसा ने साकेत थाने के अंदर अपने साथ हुई हिंसा और बदसलूकी की आपबीती सुनाई है। सोचिए, थाने के अंदर - वो जगह जहां महिलाएं शिकायत लेकर जाती हैं।

जिन पर महिलाओं की रक्षा की ज़िम्मेदारी है, वही आज उनके लिए ख़तरा बन रहे हैं। और दिल्ली पुलिस किसके अधीन है - यह पूरा देश जानता है।

साकेत थाने का पूरा CCTV फुटेज सार्वजनिक किया जाए। दोषी पुलिसकर्मियों पर तुरंत कार्रवाई हो। शाहीन, नफ़ीसा और जिनके साथ भी दिल्ली पुलिस ने हिंसा और बदतमीज़ी की है उनको न्याय मिले।

“Honest CM” that is what @AAPPunjab government proudly advertises on its billboards.

But the Punjab & Haryana High Court has now held that this particular case requires investigation by an independent agency, directed the CBI to take action in accordance with law, and ordered the CBI to submit a status report within two months.

So, @BhagwantMann , the question is simple:

If your government is so “honest”, why did the High Court find the need for an independent CBI investigation?

Is he a puppet CM who has no idea what is happening in his own CMO, or is he part of the system of corruption operating from the very fountainhead of power in Punjab?

Punjab deserves to know which one is the truth.

A government that came to power promising zero tolerance for corruption is reluctant to investigate allegations involving people close to its CM’s office.

The Hon’ble High Court has taken a serious cognizance of the PIL regarding allegations involving the CM @BhagwantMann’s office and has directed the CBI to register a criminal case to investigate the allegations on CM’s OSD, Rajbir Singh Ghuman.

The truth must come out.

ਭ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟਾਚਾਰ ਖ਼ਿਲਾਫ਼ ‘ਜ਼ੀਰੋ ਟੋਲਰੈਂਸ’ ਦਾ ਦਾਅਵਾ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੀ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਲਈ ਮੁੱਖ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਦੇ OSD ਰਾਜਬੀਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਘੁੰਮਣ ਨਾਲ ਜੁੜੇ ਭ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟਾਚਾਰ ਦੇ ਦੋਸ਼ ਗੰਭੀਰ ਸਵਾਲ ਖੜ੍ਹੇ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ। ED ਵੱਲੋਂ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਕਾਰਵਾਈ ਲਈ ਪੱਤਰ ਲਿਖੇ ਜਾਣ ਦੇ ਬਾਵਜੂਦ FIR ਨਾ ਹੋਣ ਕਾਰਨ ਹਾਈ ਕੋਰਟ ਨੂੰ ਦਖ਼ਲ ਦੇ ਕੇ ਜਾਂਚ CBI ਨੂੰ ਸੌਂਪਣੀ ਪਈ।

ਹੁਣ ਸਵਾਲ ਇਹ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਜੇ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਆਪਣੇ ਹੀ ਕਰੀਬੀ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀ ਨਾਲ ਜੁੜੇ ਮਾਮਲੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਾਰਵਾਈ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰ ਸਕੀ, ਤਾਂ ‘ਜ਼ੀਰੋ ਟੋਲਰੈਂਸ’ ਦਾ ਦਾਅਵਾ ਕਿੰਨਾ ਭਰੋਸੇਯੋਗ ਰਹਿ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ?

ਗ੍ਰਹਿ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਮੁੱਖ ਮੰਤਰੀ @BhagwantMann ਕੋਲ ਹੈ, ਇਸ ਲਈ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੀ ਕਾਨੂੰਨ-ਵਿਵਸਥਾ ਨੂੰ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਜਵਾਬਦੇਹੀ ਵੀ ਮੁੱਖ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਦੀ ਹੀ ਬਣਦੀ ਹੈ। ਅਜਿਹੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਾਨੂੰਨ-ਵਿਵਸਥਾ ਦੇ ਮੁੱਦੇ 'ਤੇ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਦੀ ਚੁੱਪੀ ਕਬੂਲਯੋਗ ਨਹੀਂ।

ਪੰਜਾਬ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਕਾਨੂੰਨ-ਵਿਵਸਥਾ ਨੂੰ ਕਾਇਮ ਰੱਖਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਬੁਰੀ ਤਰਾਂ ਨਾਕਾਮ ਸਾਬਤ ਹੋਈ ਹੈ, ਹੁਣ ਆਮ ਨਾਗਰਿਕ ਦੀ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਆ ਤਾਂ ਰੱਬ ਆਸਰੇ ਹੀ ਹੈ।
