On 6 September 2026, India’s world No.1 para-archer Sheetal Devi topped the compound women’s qualification at the World Archery Para Series in Ahmedabad improving her own Asian record. The same day, she made history by becoming the first para mixed team to break their own world record set at the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games.

On 9 September, Sheetal added another milestone, clinching her first individual World Archery Para Series gold after a thrilling shoot-off against Kazakhstan’s Aizada Seidan.

A World Champion, Asian Para Games champion and Paralympic medalist, Sheetal continues to make her mark on the global stage, representing the skill, determination and talent of India 🇮🇳

Long before electric fans transformed everyday life, the Pankha, a large traditional hand-operated fan was used to create a cooling breeze in homes, palaces, temples and public spaces.

Often made with cloth, bamboo, palm leaves or other natural materials, pankhas evolved into beautifully crafted objects, with some suspended from ceilings and operated by a simple cord mechanism.

More than a means of keeping cool, the Pankha reflects India's traditional understanding of climate, craftsmanship and sustainable living turning a simple breeze into an art form.

Built in 1591 by Sultan Muhammad Quli Qutb Shah, Charminar takes its name from its four distinctive minarets rising above its monumental arches. The structure also houses a historic mosque on its upper floor, with 45 prayer spaces, reflecting the architectural traditions of the Qutb Shahi era.

More than a landmark, Charminar stands at the centre of Hyderabad’s historic urban landscape, surrounded by the bustling Laad Bazaar and other traditional markets. Its arches, minarets and surrounding streets continue to reflect the city’s centuries-old architectural and cultural character.

Embassy of India, Muscat, in association with Al Hayat International Hospital, organised a health check-up camp at the Embassy, reflecting the spirit of Seva Pakhwada by encouraging everyone to prioritise their health and wellbeing.

Over 100 people benefited from the camp, with doctors also conducting an informative session on common diseases, their causes and preventive measures.

Ambassador Prashant Pise welcomed and appreciated the initiative, emphasising the importance of regular health check-ups and preventive healthcare.

One District One Product (ODOP): Taking Local to Global

Every district has something distinctive to offer. From Kashmiri Saffron in Jammu & Kashmir to Kanjivaram Silk in Tamil Nadu, the ODOP initiative identifies and promotes one product from each district, from agricultural produce and food products to handicrafts, handlooms and traditional manufacturing, helping build stronger value chains around local strengths.

By supporting branding, packaging, skill development and market access, ODOP aims to enhance the competitiveness of local producers and connect unique Indian products with wider domestic and international markets.
