On 15 August 2026, Prime Minister Narendra Modi set out a seven-part framework for India's national endeavour — the Sapt Dhara.

The India Foundation Journal invites forward-looking, policy-oriented contributions on any one of the Seven Streams: Manufacturing Power; Agriculture and Food Processing; Technology and Innovation; Gati Shakti and Infrastructure; Raksha Shakti; the Green and Blue Economy; and Soft Power and Global Influence.

We seek papers that move from vision to delivery - the reforms, financing instruments, technologies and partnerships that will carry India to 2047.

The 14th Katha Session was held at the India Foundation Conference Hall, India Habitat Centre, on 25 August 2026 on the theme "French Tales and Legends." The session was chaired by Maj. Gen. Dhruv Katoch, Director, India Foundation, and witnessed the participation of 55 attendees.
The session was delivered by Mr. Côme Carpentier, Distinguished Fellow, India Foundation. In his presentation, Mr. Carpentier traced the tradition of French fairy tales and legends, centring his discussion on the work of Charles Perrault, the seventeenth-century writer widely regarded as a founding figure of the literary fairy tale. Drawing on period engravings and archival plates, he took the audience through three of Perrault's best-known tales: La Belle au Bois Dormant (Sleeping Beauty), Peau d'Âne (Donkey Skin), and La Barbe bleue (Bluebeard).

We convened a #PanelDiscussion on “India-Singapore Comprehensive Strategic Partnership: Progress, Priorities and Prospects”, alongside the official release of the CRF policy brief of the same title.

Some key themes that emerged from the discussion:

1. The #IndiaSingapore relationship has evolved from strong foundations in trade and economic cooperation into a comprehensive strategic partnership spanning defence and security, technology, connectivity and people-to-people ties.

2. #Singapore remains an important financial, economic and diplomatic bridge for India’s engagement with #ASEAN and the wider #IndoPacific, giving the partnership significance well beyond the bilateral context.

3. #AI and #DigitalInfrastructure, green shipping and port connectivity, space and satellite cooperation, and skilling and education offer considerable potential to drive the next phase of collaboration.

4. Greater engagement between Singapore and Indian states can add further depth to the partnership, creating new avenues for investment, innovation, connectivity and people-to-people cooperation.

5. Singapore's upcoming ASEAN Chairmanship could provide a significant opportunity for innovative regional cooperation with India as an equal stakeholder.
