CGPRT(NW) along with @IndiaCoastGuard Station #Vadinar conducted the maiden IMO OPRC Level-I course from 06-10 Jul 26.

A total of 41 participants including #ICG Officers and OHA representatives from #Gujarat attended.

The curriculum covered contingency planning, sensitive area mapping, field/industrial visits, table-top exercise on oil spill simulation for the Gujarat coast, and practical demonstration of PR equipment.

The course provided hands-on training to On Scene Commanders and Supervisors for effective response during any eventuality. It also validated SOPs for prevention and control of pollution in the Gulf of Kutch and Gulf of Khambhat region.
