Attended the Defence Investiture Ceremony 2026 (Phase-1) where Gallantry Awards were conferred upon our brave personnel. We are proud of their extraordinary courage, commitment and selfless service to the nation.
For decades, poverty in India was measured by deprivation. Today, the conversation is increasingly about empowerment, dignity and opportunity.
Over the past 12 years, welfare delivery has expanded from access to housing, healthcare, clean water and financial inclusion to a broader vision of Antyodaya, ensuring that development reaches the last person in the queue.
A story of transformation from Garibi Se Garima Tak, where governance is focused not only on reducing poverty, but on restoring dignity and expanding opportunity for millions.

It is also gladdening that technology has played a vital role in ensuring a better quality of life for the poor. Through Direct Benefit Transfer and digital platforms, support is reaching people directly and transparently. This has reduced leakages, improved efficiency and strengthened trust in governance. This is how the journey of furthering Garib Kalyan has become a collective movement towards human empowerment and realising our dream of a Viksit Bharat.

Over the last 12 years, India has witnessed many transformations and at the core of these changes is the welfare of the poor and downtrodden. We have always been inspired by Antyodaya and our effort has always been to ensure that the benefits of development reach those who were left behind for decades. From Jan Dhan accounts and Direct Benefit Transfer to Swachh Bharat, PM Awas Yojana, Jal Jeevan Mission, Ayushman Bharat and more, every initiative has been driven by a simple objective of ensuring people have dignity and opportunity.

India: Towards Health and Prosperity
"नारी तू नारायणी, तुमसे ही सामर्थ्य है, तुम्ही हो राष्ट्रशक्ति" With this very resolve, New India is scripting ever-newer chapters of excellence. The prosperity of any nation is unimaginable without the power of its women. Consequently, over the past 12 years, the vision guiding national policy has shifted from merely the upliftment of women to fostering development under the leadership of women's power.
Numerous initiatives aimed at empowering women across the spheres of education, health, economic prosperity, and leadership opportunities have proven to be milestones in this direction. Now, the central government stands committed to ensuring a 33 percent reservation for women in the Lok Sabha and state legislative assemblies.
