The unedited Srinagar-airport clip attached here shows four @flyspicejet staffers shoving, punching, and threatening a serving Colonel before he throws a single blow. The airline’s claim of an “unprovoked assault” collapses in one continuous shot:

Initiation of force: SpiceJet personnel strike first, multiple pushes and a raised fist.

Officer’s posture: Hands up, stepping back, attempting to de-escalate.

Retaliation: Only after repeated blows does the Colonel defend himself.

This is reactive self-defence, not aggression. Filing a false FIR against an officer who protects the nation, while he was travelling on duty, is unconscionable.

We stand by our soldier and demand:
1️⃣ An unconditional apology from SpiceJet.
2️⃣ Immediate withdrawal of the fabricated police complaint.
3️⃣ DGCA directives ensuring airline staff treat every passenger, especially those in uniform, with dignity and respect.

Similar efforts in Lolab, Rajouri, Pulwama, and Ladakh have treated thousands of animals while building trust with locals.
The Army's Remount & Veterinary Corps plays a key role in these humanitarian missions.

In the face of devastating flash floods triggered by heavy rains in Rajouri, Jammu & Kashmir, our brave Indian Army once again proved why they are the ultimate guardians of the nation!

#WhiteKnightCorps, in seamless coordination with J&K Police, SDRF & civil administration, launched swift rescue operations in raging waters.
They saved 11 precious lives, including 5 children stranded across a flooded nala near Churung village and on a river island in Naushera Tawi near Dhangri.

Braving swift currents and life-threatening conditions, our soldiers used ropes, harnesses & sheer courage to pull civilians to safety.
No casualties. Every life mattering.
This is the Indian Army, always first on the scene, risking their own lives in every natural calamity, from floods to landslides to disasters across the country.

Empowering Youth Through Operation SADBHAVANA 🇮🇳

From 06 to 18 Jul 2026, the Indian Army organised a Vocational Skill Development Programme under Operation SADBHAVANA at the Youth Employment & Guidance Node (YEGN), Kumbathang, for youth from Kumbathang and adjoining villages to enhance employability and promote self-reliance.

A total of 25 local youth successfully completed institutional training in vocational trades such as plumbing, electrical work and carpentry. On successful completion of the course, the trainees were provided with starter toolkits to enable them to embark on sustainable livelihood opportunities.

Lt Gen Pratik Sharma, #ArmyCdrNC, visited a frontline division in the #Ladakh Sector. The Army Commander was briefed on measures undertaken towards absorption of niche technologies, induction of next-generation weapons and equipment and adoption of innovative procedures to enhance operational effectiveness.

Interacting with all ranks, he appreciated the formation's operational dynamism and innovative strategies curated to meet diverse contingencies. He commended the troops for their professionalism, indomitable courage and relentless devotion to duty in the challenging high-altitude operating environment. Felicitating the troops for their invaluable contribution, the Army Commander exhorted all ranks to sustain the momentum of excellence, train harder and remain resolute in overcoming every challenge with a strong determination.

The Army Commander also flagged-in the #FireandFury Multi Modal #WhiteWaterRafting and #MountainTerrainBiking Adventure Expedition conducted in the run up to #KargilVijayDiwas and interacted with the expedition members.

Some Battles End. Their Stories Never Do. 🇮🇳

On 18 Jul 2026, as part of the 27th Kargil Vijay Diwas Commemorations, the Indian Army organised a motivational tour to Lamochen View Point, Dras, for students of Army Goodwill School, Harka Bahadur and Government Border High School, Kaksar.

The visit acquainted the students with the unmatched courage, valour and supreme sacrifice of the Bravehearts of the Kargil War. A detailed briefing on Operation VIJAY highlighted the historic battles and inspired the young minds with stories of courage, resilience and selfless service.

A total of 86 students and 13 teachers participated in the tour. The programme concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks by the students and teachers, expressing their gratitude to the Indian Army for the enriching and memorable experience.
