The Pavilion brought together prominent Indian companies, including Sam Pharmaceutical Ltd, Africa Industries Group, Simba Group, Springfield Agro (Mahindra Authorised Partner), Checkers Custard, and Indian Fashion Boutique, showcasing a diverse range of Indian products, businesses and capabilities.
The Indian Pavilion witnessed substantial footfall, with visitors, prospective buyers and business seekers engaging with participating companies and exploring opportunities for trade, investment and business partnerships.

High Commissioner Suneet Mehta joined the virtual inauguration of the month-long e-ITEC training programme for Fiji Sugar Corporation officials, with Mr. Bhan Pratap Singh, CEO, FSC, and Dr. Seema Paroha, Director, National Sugar Institute, Kanpur,.
The training will be held from 28 Sept–27 Oct 2026, fulfilling a commitment made during Hon. PM Sitiveni Rabuka’s visit to India in August 2025. Expert instructors from India will share modern practices, technological advancements and practical insights tailored to Fiji’s sugar industry.
Building on the handover of 12 agricultural drones for Fiji’s sugar sector, this initiative underscores India’s commitment to capacity building, technology transfer and a stronger, more resilient India–Fiji partnership.

Ambassador @VDoraiswami met Prof. Justin Yifu Lin, leading economist at Peking University and former Chief Economist of the World Bank. Prof Lin spoke of his proposition of New Structural Economics, initiating a wide-ranging discussion on China’s economic outlook and prospects for India–China economic cooperation.
The exchange covered productivity-led growth, technological transformation, industrial policy, advanced manufacturing and emerging industries. Both sides also exchanged views on how economic and academic engagement can contribute to broader bilateral understanding.
🇮🇳⚓🇰🇪 INS Tarkash, a frontline guided-missile frigate of the Indian Navy, arrived at Mombasa Port today for an Operational Turnaround from 29 Sep-02 Oct 2026.
The port call will feature professional exchanges, interactions between the crews and community outreach. INS Tarkash will be open to visitors on 01 Oct from 11am–4pm. On departure, the ship is scheduled to undertake a Passage Exercise with the Kenya Navy.
The visit advances 🇮🇳–🇰🇪 maritime cooperation in the Western Indian Ocean and reflects India’s MAHASAGAR vision.

High Commissioner Suneet Mehta formally handed over 12 agricultural drones, gifted by the Government of India to the Fiji Sugar Corporation (FSC), to Hon. Tomasi Tunabuna, Minister for Agriculture, Waterways & Sugar Industry, in Lautoka.
The handover fulfils a commitment announced during the visit of Hon. Prime Minister @slrabuka to India in August 2025, and reflects the longstanding and multifaceted India–Fiji partnership in agriculture and the sugar sector. From seeds and mobile soil-testing laboratories to specialised training for Fijian sugarcane farmers at the National Sugar Institute in Kanpur under ITEC, India’s support combines technology, knowledge and capacity-building.
The 12 drones will support more efficient, technology-enabled and sustainable sugarcane production in Fiji. India remains committed to working alongside Fiji to advance agricultural innovation, productivity and resilience, while strengthening our enduring partnership for the benefit of Fijian farmers and communities.

The project is part of 🇮🇳’s USD 450 million reconstruction & rehabilitation package following Cyclone Ditwah, marking the transition from emergency restoration to permanent, resilient infrastructure.
🌿 Celebrating the 11th Ayurveda Day – “Ayurveda for a Healthier Tomorrow” 🌿
The Consulate, together with the Ministry of Ayush, AAAP, NAMA, TAPAS, ISKCON Houston, and other diaspora organizations marked the 11th Ayurveda Day with a vibrant community celebration on 19 September 2026.
The program featured two focused panel discussions. The first panel, “Ayurveda for Community Wellbeing & Sustainable Living,” moderated by Mr. Sonal Gupta, brought together Vd. Sushma Jakkula, Vd. Anand Yadav, Vd. Dhanada Kulkarni, and Vd. Anu PK, who shared insights on lifestyle harmony, preventive care, and sustainable living through Ayurveda.
The second panel, “Integrating Ayurveda into Modern Healthcare for Better Health Outcomes,” moderated by Vd. Deepa Bhat, featured Dr. Rajashree Nambron, Dr. Suparna Chhiber, Vd. Meenakshi Gupta, and Vd. Sonal Gupta, highlighting collaborative approaches between Ayurveda and modern medicine.
An engaging interactive session led by Vd. Rajesh and Vd. Goral encouraged audience participation through an Ayurveda quiz and Q&A. Community members also benefited from personalized consultations and Prakriti analysis offered by leading practitioners including Vd. Anand Yadav, Dr. Sonal Gupta, Vd. Lakshmi Maliakkal, Vd.
