There was a time when companies would be penalised for producing beyond prescribed limits! That mindset of the Licence Raj discouraged enterprise, production and job creation.

Today, the approach is completely different. We incentivise production, encourage ambition and trust our entrepreneurs.

India has moved from controlling enterprise to enabling it.

At the core of India’s reform journey is a change in the philosophy of governance.

We are moving from ‘Prohibited unless permitted’ to ‘Permitted unless prohibited.’ Through Jan Vishwas, decriminalisation, the removal of thousands of compliances and many obsolete laws, we are reducing the burden on citizens and enterprises.

Dholavira, one of the finest urban centres of the Sindhu-Saraswati Civilization, has yielded what is regarded as the largest known stone sculpture from the entire civilization spread across the northwestern part of the Indian Subcontinent.

Found during the excavations near the Eastern Gate of the Castle, this large sculpture is more than just an artefact. It stands as living evidence of a sophisticated artistic tradition of stone sculpting that began over 4,500 years ago and has continued unbroken in India.

From such monumental works of the Indus-Saraswati era to the modern craft of stone sculpting, India has preserved and carried forward this civilizational thread.

Dholavira does not merely preserve the past, it affirms that the creative genius of the Sindhu-Saraswati Civilization continues to beat throughout India.

It was wonderful to meet the Yuva Urja of India’s space sector…young entrepreneurs and innovators who have shown remarkable courage by entering a new and demanding domain. They have taken risks, trusted the reform process and remained consistent in their efforts. Due to this, India has achieved a lot in the space sector in the last few years.

The StartUps made insightful presentations on their work. They also appreciated the space reforms of the Government and how it encouraged them to grow further in this sector.

I assured the space StartUps that Government of India will continue to stand with them as they build India’s capabilities for the future. India can offer the world a strong, innovative and commercially viable model in the space sector.

India is expanding its rail capacity with four new multitracking projects approved by the Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs.

An investment of more than $1 billion will add over 250 miles of rail capacity across West Bengal, Odisha, Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu — carrying an additional 76 million tonnes of freight a year, cutting logistics costs and lowering emissions.

Under the leadership of PM @narendramodi, the Union Cabinet has approved four multitracking projects covering eight districts in West Bengal, Odisha, Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh, at an estimated cost of Rs. 9,450 crore, to be completed up to 2030-31.

➡️ This 410 kms railway network increase will significantly enhance mobility, resulting in improved operational efficiency & service reliability for Indian Railways.

➡️ It will also result in additional freight traffic of magnitude 76 MTPA, help both in achieving climate goals and minimizing logistics cost of the country, reduce oil import by approx. 13 cr litres and lower CO2 emissions by approx. 65 cr kg.
