Big bike ride ended with me giving Micah a foot washing in the creek.

Then, Micah says "dad, sit on this rock, I will wash your feet."

I have been recently asked..."Scott, since you are now (65) years old and the lost of your only son, Micah, back on 11/25/25, aren't you looking forward to just retiring and taking it easy???

I now know how you feel Toby, felt the same after losing Micah, my 17 year old son in 11/25/25.

I have found that I too now look through an eternal lens. We are here on earth for a very short time on our way to our eternal home in heaven.

Our boys are cheering us on to finish strong on the back nine of life. Heaven is definitely on my mind.

At 65, one of the greatest lessons I’ve learned is this:

Less is more.

For years, I thought more was the answer…
More success.
More stuff.
More opportunities.
More striving.

Now I realize the richest life is often found in having less—but living with greater purpose.

Less hurry.
Less noise.
Less fear.
Less comparison.

More faith.
More gratitude.
More meaningful relationships.
More time with Jesus.

Maybe that’s what KEEP SWINGING is really about.

It’s not about swinging harder on the back nine of life.

It’s about swinging with greater intention.

One faithful swing at a time.

🏌️ Sunday Swing

Today, one golfer will lift the Claret Jug.

His name will forever be etched into golf history...will Scottie defend???

The celebration will be unforgettable.

But tomorrow morning…

The sun will rise.

The crowds will go home.

The trophy will sit on a shelf.

And life will begin again.

Every trophy eventually asks the same question:

“Now what?”

I’ve come to believe the Back Nine of life isn’t about collecting more trophies…

It’s about investing in eternal treasures.

There comes a time when God invites us to retire from a J.O.B.

Not to retire from life…

But to retire into our purpose.

The world celebrates success.

Heaven celebrates significance.

Success asks,

“What did I accomplish?”

Significance asks,

“Whose life did I impact for Christ?”

One day every trophy will gather dust.

But every life pointed to Jesus…

Will last forever.

So whether you’re holding the Claret Jug…

Or simply beginning another Monday morning…

Keep your eyes on the prize that never fades.

Because the greatest victory isn’t crossing the 18th green with another trophy.

It’s hearing your Heavenly Father say,

“Well done, good and faithful servant.”

Until then…

Keep Swinging.

What a privilege to spend time with the men of our In His Grip Life Group at Chatham Hills Country Club in Westfield, Indiana.

Around this table were open Bibles, honest conversations, prayer, encouragement, and brothers sharpening one another. This is what biblical community looks like.

The enemy wants men to believe they have to fight life’s battles alone. But God designed us for fellowship. When men gather around His Word, walls come down, hope rises, and lives are changed.

If you’re walking alone today, don’t stay there.

Find your people. Open God’s Word. Pray together. Encourage one another.

Because the strongest men aren’t the ones who stand alone—they’re the ones who stand together.

“And let us watch out for one another to provoke love and good works, not neglecting to gather together… but encouraging each other.” — Hebrews 10:24–25
