@CanadianKobzar Great thread, as ever Kob! I made an English language song about the history & significance of Kholodny Yar, which you can find here: https://t.co/Dzp7FIdX4f
Decided to put some first drafts up on Youtube as the recording process for more polished releases is not really moving at the moment. This one is from January 2023 and explores the history and significance of Kholodny Yar: https://t.co/DOEhzZn7ZY
@timkmak Love your "listening today" section - music get's us through stuff! For me, today's all about the new Vulfpeck album. For some pure, patriotic punk though, check my pinned post.
@UkrLrc_Jason I've got a few relevant tracks for you too, different styles. Feel free to use. Here's the latest, a bit of classic punk hero celebration: https://t.co/eSESLIVdUk
@MelSimmonsFCDO Same feeling during a storm back in May last year prompted me to write this... "never did the wind sound so like fighter jets, nor the thunder so like rain..." https://t.co/WZQduzI4sn
@tipofthespear42 Yes! Sunak + Starmer. Biden + Pompeo. Support for Ukraine should not be partisan. Regardless of other things these people might represent, their support for Ukraine is worthy of respect.
@TetySt There are levels? I'm so confused by their system since they changed it. Just approaching a 1 year streak on their Ukrainian course though. It's not for learning from scratch though, just to keep me on the straight and narrow.
Youtube recommends me a new @NickelCreek track. It finishes. I go to replay it & see another new track being recommended! Wait a second. It's album release day! Huzzah!
@1deedeeonlyD@reshetz I'm going to guess they spoke the same languages as their parents. Regardless of what language that is, it's never a valid reason for stealing children. And no right thinking person would assume that it was.
@saintjavelin He also suggests that if you want to understand russians, you should read newspapers from 1712... neatly confirming what we've known since the start, that they're stranded in their imperial past, and don't even understand themselves.
@saintjavelin If Ukraine had an Oscar win this year it was Mariinskyi Palace as the featured location for the clip to the "Best original song", Naatu Naatu. A bit strange seeing the British flag flying over the Ukrainian President's official residence, but still, a fun clip.
