According to Akyol, the film was meant to portray the strength and power of women. It was not meant to demonstrate the horrors of war perpetrated by Daesh. To her, this theme is already very often addressed. Rather, she chose to show the humane sides of war.

Discussion on the floor: is the film too decontextualized? Does it glorify the PKK? Akyol answers that she is not taking a political position in the creation of this film, but rather aims to paint a picture of the current situation and of the daily lives of these women.
