Interest rate has gone up from 0.4% to 0.5% today on my Marcus savings account. Not sure if this is this the beginning of something scary but feels like a welcome move for now.

@malmphegor @IoanaA_Cristea Exactly. So sad to see some of the double vaccinated still afraid to ever go out and even missing scans/appts for other conditions in case they catch Covid. Plenty of that in my parents extra care housing development unfortunately.

@theAliceRoberts @Fionula4 @SusanMichie @IndependentSage Learning to live with Covid means accepting that like flu it is likely to stick around whatever we do but that due to vaccination we are all safer now. By continuing to fear it/ live with severe restrictions we risk making other things worse - mental health/ cancer/poverty.

Paints very optimistic outlook -
economic recovery/stimulus packages/supply of materials for low carbon tech/inflation expectations etc and I like talk of potential for Divi upside.
Have done well for me and now on a premium but can't bring myself to trim 🤔

@illgetugadget I think because inflation is only good for commodities if it doesn't lead to recession which it often does! Too many unknowns and moving parts at the moment.
