Cette décision a été approuvée par la 146e Session du Comité International Olympique à Lausanne, marquant une nouvelle étape pour le développement de la discipline sur la scène olympique.

The team is composed entirely of Africa-based athletes. They will compete in athletics, judo and taekwondo.

This would be the first-ever Refugee Olympic team to compete at a Youth Olympic games.
