IRFA brings together Iowa ethanol, biodiesel and RNG producers to foster the development and growth of the state’s renewable fuels industry. RTs ≠ endorsements.
I submitted a letter to the WSJ w my colleagues Sens Ernst+ Fischer+ Ricketts +Marshall abt their misleading editorial on E15 We kno E15 lowers gas prices & it has big bipartisan support Its good 4 the environment + supports rural communities We r committed 2 getting E15 into law
Read the latest Wall Street Journal Letter to the Editor from U.S. Senators Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa), Joni Ernst (R-Iowa), Deb Fischer (R-Neb.), Pete Ricketts (R-Neb.), and Roger Marshall (R-Kan.) on the benefits of E15.
Their message is clear: year-round, nationwide E15 can help lower fuel costs, expand consumer choice, and provide affordable options for American families.

Proud to help lead the charge for nationwide, year-round E15. This is a win-win-win, supporting Iowa's ag economy, bolstering our energy independence, and giving consumers more choices at the pump.
Look what we found in today’s Des Moines Register!
IRFA and @iowa_corn are proud to recognize Representatives @RepFeenstra , @RepAshleyHinson , @RepMMM , and @ZachNunn for their leadership in advancing year-round E15 and supporting Iowa agriculture, renewable fuels, and consumers.
Thank you for your continued support of Iowa farmers and lowering fuel costs.

Two decades in the Air Force taught me that "Iowa nice" isn't always mission critical.
Sometimes delivering for Iowa means going head to head with your own party to deliver the Farm Bill and year-round, nationwide E15.
IRFA and @iowa_corn are recognizing Iowa’s congressional delegation for their leadership in advancing year-round E15 in the U.S. House and supporting Iowa agriculture, renewable fuels, and consumers.
A full-page ad in the June 2 edition of the Des Moines Register highlights and thanks Representatives Randy Feenstra, Ashley Hinson, Mariannette Miller-Meeks and Zach Nunn for their efforts to expand year-round access to E15 ethanol strengthening demand for Iowa corn supporting rural jobs and expanding affordable American made fuel options for consumers.

Ethanol accounts for 57% of Iowa’s corn crop, helping produce fuel, feed, and valuable co-products used around the globe.
Year-round E15 is essential to ensuring Iowa farmers can remain competitive and continue expanding markets for long-term success.
It's simple: E15 fuels America. ⛽️🌽🇺🇸
For over fifteen years, Sen. @ChuckGrassley, a lifelong family farmer and a member of @SenateAgGOP, has fought to unleash the year-round, nationwide sale of E15.
Now, the U.S. Senate must act and get this landmark legislation to @POTUS' desk.
The study is clear: as ethanol demand grew, corn prices rose and farmland values in the Midwest increased significantly. Ethanol continues to be a driver of rural prosperity, which is why year-round E15 and having every tool available to open new ultra-low carbon ethanol markets matters.

I missed in your original comment, you referenced E85 instead of E15 (UNL88) which is what the sign was advertising. So maybe you didn't realize the difference between E15 and E85.. The sign shows the cost savings for E15 and not E85, which our comments reflected.
If you were trying to switch the debate to E85 away from what the person you responded to was actually talking about, there is a fuel economy loss with E85 that modern studies show to be about 17%. The cost savings on E85 are much larger and usually around 30%, which makes E85 the most cost-effective fuel per mile on the road today.
@Thepawn777@gogroundedgreen@RepFeenstra When the literal price sign stating the facts of the E15 cost savings are declared to be propaganda, then you know that you no longer have an open mind. Interested in facts.
Feel free to live in your bizarro world, but leave us the choice of E15 in the real world.
There have been large studies done on vehicles by places like the state of California that are no friends to ethanol. They found some cars especially newer cars, get better mileage with E15. Some get slightly less.
1. But the cost savings offsets that
2. the mileage impact was so small, an individual could not track it through daily driving. Hitting two stop lights instead of one has a bigger impact. Three poinds of pressure in your tires had a bigger impact. Driving into a 5 mile an hour headwind had a bigger impact. Etc
But if you don't want to buy E15, then don't. Just don't stop the rest of us from having that choice
100% completely false. E15 is the most tested fuel in the history of the world before it was approved. And nearly every automaker recognizes it as such today.
Please tell me what the main aromatic contents of gasoline are. Then you'll know what attack seals. Ethanol reduces aromatics in gasoline and thereby reduces the chances of the very damage you're claiming. If you can't name them and you don't know their impacts, then maybe do a little research next time.
Ethanol is much less expensive to produce than gasoline, let alone the octane components of fuel that it actually replaces. Claiming you lose 15% milage assumes no energy content which is absurd. You can repeat the myrhs and attacks from the entrenched fuel industry, but that doesn't make them true.
But more importantly, E15 if is allowed, it would just be an option. So don't CHOOSE it. But don't let your misinformation stop the rest of us from choosing an American made, high octane, affordable fuel.
