Nollywood needs to understand that Twitter will sell their movie faster than any other social media platform would. The conversation starts here which indirectly transforms into promotion.
Lastly all this talk of marketing, y’all are fake as hell cus last year a team of 7 core individuals and a total of over 50 people gave Nollywood one of the best rollouts and the film still didn’t do crazy in cinema. So, boya ke stfu!
I’ve read so much discuss on marketing in Nollywood, interesting, uninformed takes and comments on marketing and it’s clear that we’re still so far from understanding and navigating the industry. I wish I could join but I don’t have the energy to get dragged into unnecessary talk
Pick 20 people and ask them what marketing is actually what they think marketing in Nollywood is and you’d be amazed by the response you get. That’s why I don’t bother engaging in takes. Cus you can’t even try to educate people…
