Budget 2027 is not the “workers’ budget” promised by Government.
SIPTU General Secretary John King has described it as a “chaotic budget providing little relief for workers.”

#Budget2027 is a half-hearted apology for last year's Budget.
The Government has taken some bare minimum measures, but it is far from the 'workers' budget' the Government claimed, and does not make up the ground workers have lost.
Published today: Working Life on Low Pay in Northern Ireland, from the Working in Ireland Survey 2025. What a week's work pays, who the low paid are, and what their jobs are like. https://t.co/4UAJdijxvj
The average PAYE worker will have an extra €1.50 a week/ €78 a year in PRSI deducted from their wages next week.
