Last year close to 19 productions shooting in the republic engaged our members on the UK agreement.
We are working to create fair terms and conditions for our creatives who contribute to the international success of the government subsidised audiovisual industry.
Irish Equity are working closely with our colleagues in the UK to ensure our members will be able to share these revenue streams.
We are working to ensure Irish performers are engaged on equal terms across the island of Ireland.
The UK Agreement provides the necessary structure for what are referred to as backend payments - Residual Payments.
This makes the UK Agreement compatible with the EU Copyright Directive which has been transposed into Irish law.
