Drawing to Relax
Sajithra, a Class 10 student at Isha Vidhya Erode, voluntarily repainted faded Kolam art at school. She says recalling the intricate line sequences is stress-relieving, and completed nearly 11 Kolams in two hours with joy and precision.

Mock Teaching Session

Every Wednesday, Classes 1–3 math teachers at Isha Vidhya Dharmapuri take turns conducting mock classes to refine their teaching. Post-session self-appraisal and peer feedback lead to more effective and engaging math lessons for students.

Students of Classes 4 and 5 at Isha Vidhya Karur eagerly learned Yogic postures, breathing exercises, and relaxation techniques, showing discipline, concentration, and cooperation by following instructions and practicing with care.

Class 6 students at Isha Vidhya Salem took their first steps toward mastering touch typing while improving their focus and hand-eye coordination. These skills will help them use computers efficiently, with quick, accurate typing. Their eagerness made learning easy.

Bharatanatyam Class

After a traditional inauguration, around 45 Isha Vidhya Erode students listened attentively as their teacher explained the discipline and cultural values behind this classical dance form. They then eagerly learned their first dance steps.

During the P.E. period, besides playing games and running around the open school playground with total abandon, UKG students at Isha Vidhya Coimbatore also play with Mother Earth—an activity that both offers a tactile experience and nourishes them in ways they may not even know.

Meeting to Improve

At the biannual meet, Isha Vidhya principals, the Central Academic Team, and others reviewed and analysed school operations and exam results and discussed ways to improve higher secondary pedagogy.

Dharshini's brother, a state-level winner, and Usain Bolt inspire her. Last year, she won in the triple jump and high jump events at the zonal level, and in the long jump at the zonal, district, and state levels. She values how sports has taught her to take losing in her stride.

From Learning to Teaching Together

Three Isha Vidhya Tuticorin alumnae were classmates who bonded as earnest scholarship students. They now teach at their alma mater: Subesha is a P.E. teacher, Nandhini is a KG teacher, and Bhuvaneswari teaches in the Atal Tinkering Lab.

Deepika thrived at Isha Vidhya and graduated with a B. Tech in Chemical Engineering from Kongu Engineering College. She now works as a Project Engineer at Honeywell Automation India Ltd, cherishing the financial independence she has achieved after a sponsored school education.

Reading Goals

The librarian at Isha Vidhya Dharmapuri encouraged students and teachers to write their reading goals on leaf-shaped cards, pledging to read regularly, use library resources, and build a lifelong love for books. The Reading Goals Tree will serve as a reminder.

Crafting Faces

Class 6 students of Isha Vidhya Coimbatore first observed their teacher’s demo and then experimented with colored paper to create artistic 3D faces. It allowed them to give expression to their imagination and explore new creative possibilities.
