Can we remain attached to sinful activities and at the same time become God conscious?
Srila Prabhupada explains that this is not possible. To approach Krishna, we have to become purified. God is pure, and therefore one who sincerely wants to know God must gradually give up sinful activities and take to Krishna consciousness.
Before giving up this present body, if one is able to tolerate the urges of the material senses and check the force of desire and anger, he is well situated and is happy in this world.
