@Dr_Toboggan__69 @stefen_rosner @TheFourthPeriod Roy is still under contract (and still getting paid) with the #Isles . Hence why the Leafs would have to request permission to talk with him.
If they choose to hire him, the Isles only have to pay Roy difference if contract is less. If new contract is higher than Isles are done.

Fair assessment @Rupper17, but here's something to look at:

Out of Matthew Schaefer's 29 points at 5-on-5 this season more than half (16) of those came with Barzal on the ice, 1st among NYI forwards. All situations Barzal is also 1st.

The mentioned linemates in this clip, we have to be honest about the quality of players we're asking him to prop up. As shown with Schaefer, get Barzal someone good to play with, he does make them better!

I honestly can't believe how much 13 defense I've done recently, but these narratives are killing me.

The Islanders have reassigned D Jesse Pulkkinen from Worcester (ECHL) to Bridgeport. (Per @AHLIslanders)

Pulkkinen, NYI’s 2024 second-round pick, has 18 points (9G, 9A) in 36 games this season in Worcester.

The move follows the Luke Rowe suspension, with Bridgeport down to just six eligible defensemen.
