My family is building a Cabin at the lake.
We are doing the finishing of the cabin ourselves.
I am going to show the entire process here in a multi part thread over the next 4 months.
Hope you all enjoy the journey.
Here is what they looked like when they were delivered.
Family 1
- New Tahoe & New Jeep
- Boat and Jet Skis in the driveway
- Beautiful New home
- Maxed out credit cards
- Paycheck to Paycheck
Family 2
- Used Minivan & old Camry
- Nice home, nothing fancy
- No credit card debt
- Living below their means
Which are you?
Hereโs my recommendation
Download a stock trading app (you pick)
Make an account
Set up automatic investing
Invest $5 per day (a cup of coffee)
Let that go forever
You wonโt even notice it leaving your bank
1 yr - $1,825
5 yrs - $9,125
10 yrs - $18,250
After $100,000 compound interest is insane
After $200,000 compound interest is crazy
At $300,000 compound interest is diabolical
Iโm well on my way to
$1,000,000 and Iโm 29 yrs old
@Mauriinvesting1 Not about โhow muchโ
Create a plan to get to where you want to be.
Be consistent and put in as much as you can in your 20โs.
Doing this will you give you the most time to let compound interest work for you.
Great job starting young!
Crossed the 300 share mark in $SCHD
Big milestone and something Iโve been chasing for a while
Now have

130 Shares - $ET
100+ Shares - $OSCR
Starting to add up quick!

I donโt care what you buy, just invest your money somewhere
For Christmas, alongside gifts for our girls we asked their grandparents to add money into their investment accounts.
My wife and I also doubled this amount
Our girls are 9 months old
Their investment accounts have surpassed $2,000 each
For Christmas our parents are putting $100 in each of our girls accounts
Instead of going crazy with just toys (they have so many) we are making this part of the Christmas tradition
Of course they will still get tons of gifts, but they will be so thankful for this one day!
