This is why the fandom sometimes feels like it’s stuck in a vat of swirling toxic sludge.

Because rather than taking responsibility over the issue of compromised safety, most of you choose to make it a pissing contest about which country was better than which.

Instead of acknowledging that this stalking behaviour has gone rampant because of our own complacency and leniency allowing the infiltration of all the shitbird types into the fandom, most of you rather turn this into an excuse to compare notes on which country was responsible for the MOST stalking.

Instead of calling out the unsolicited following of the tannies and the blatant invasion of privacy masked as “random run-ins” bc most of you feel somewhat entitled to know everything that they are up to, you rather make this conversation about the fact that you feel butthurt bc countries were named.

Everyone wants to make this conversation about how he should have conducted himself and framed his words different instead of focusing on the fact that their safety, their well being, their peace, is being strangled to shit.

Evolvement of this fandom starts with introspection. Nothing will ever fucking change if all we do is point fingers. The sooner you accept that there is no one place that has NOT committed the transgressions of stalking, the easier it will be to have this conversation like civilised adults. It is not, nor has it ever been, an isolated incident to just one city or one country or one specific leg.

It is constant, and it is global.. it just so happens that sometimes you don’t see it. Doesn’t mean it isn’t happening.
