Every artist in the film industry—music directors, actors, or technicians—goes through peak phases and lean phases. This has always been true across Telugu, Tamil, and Bollywood cinema. Lean phases happen for many reasons: changing generations, evolving audience tastes, budget constraints, new working styles, and shifting industry trends.
Over the last decade, the digital music era has completely transformed the industry. Music has become democratized. Social media and digital platforms have brought forward a wave of young, talented music directors and technicians. As a result, many production houses and music labels no longer depend only on big, established names. They also have to think about return on investment, budgets, and audience reach, which naturally pushes them to explore new talent.
For the past 15 years—especially in Bollywood—the system itself has changed: multiple music directors for one film, different composers for songs, and another for background scores. This is an industry-wide shift, not discrimination.
So attributing a professional lean phase to communal reasons is misleading. Indian audiences across regions and religions have celebrated A.R. Rahman’s music for decades and continue to do so. Even today, he works with major stars and production houses.
History proves this cycle. When Ilaiyaraaja was at his peak, the next generation embraced A.R. Rahman. That never meant Ilaiyaraaja was rejected—it simply meant generations moved forward and tastes evolved. The same process continues today.
When a globally respected artist makes statements blaming communal factors for industry changes, especially at a sensitive time for the country, it creates confusion and division.
A responsible public figure should acknowledge industry evolution, not misattribute it. Words matter!!! #ARRahman
@AirIndiaX, today one of your pilots, Capt. Virender Sejwal, assaulted me physically at T1, Delhi Airport.
Here are the facts of the matter,:
🔸 Me & my family were guided to use the security check that the staff uses (also the PRM check), because we had a 4 month old baby in a stroller.
🔸 The staff was cutting the queue ahead of me. On calling them out, Capt. Virender, who himself was doing the same thing, asked me if I was anpadh (uneducated), and couldn't read the signs that said this entry was for staff.
🔸 A verbal scuffle broke out.
🔸 Not able to excercise restraint, the AIX pilot proceeded to physically assault me, leaving me bloody. The blood in the photograph (first comment) on his shirt is also mine.
Here are my issues with the whole thing:
🔹 My holiday is ruined. The first thing I have done here is see a doctor.
🔹 My 7 year old daughter, who saw her father get assaulted brutally, is still traumatized & scared.
🔹 I have no clue how @DGCAIndia & @AirIndiaX can allow such pilots to fly. If they can't keep their cool in a scuffle, can they be trusted with the lives of hundreds of people in the sky?
🔹 How can @DelhiAirport get away with such mismanagement, combining staff entry with passengers carrying infants, creating chaos at a sensitive security area? I thought Airports were safe places!
🔹 I was forced to write a letter stating that I will not pursue this matter further ... It was either write that letter, or miss my flight and throw the 1.2 lakhs holiday bookings down the drain. @DelhiPolice, why can't I file a complaint after coming back? Must I sacrifice my money too, to seek justice? Will the CCTV footage disappear in the 2 days till I make it back to Delhi?
To my friends & well wishers, I am pretty shaken, but nothing permanent. Can't say the same about my daughter though. 😢

Nine year old Amaiyra, A class 4th student of Jaipur's prestigious Neerja Modi School jumped from the fourth floor of the school building and ended her life because of continuous bullying at school. CCTV footage from the classroom reportedly shows the girl approaching her teacher twice just minutes before the incident. However, the footage has no audio, despite CBSE guidelines mandating sound in classroom recordings.

Dear @hydcitypolice I witnessed a serious issue at the KPHB bus stop. A group of people claiming to be transgenders are targeting young boys who look shy or innocent.
They ask for money, and even if someone gives Rs. 10 or Rs. 20, they demand Rs. 100 or more. If anyone refuses or says they don’t have cash, they show a QR code and force them to pay through UPI.
If the boys try to ignore them, they humiliate them in public—using bad language, touching them inappropriately, or threatening to remove their own clothes to cause shame.
It may seem like a small issue to some, but many boys are silently paying huge amounts just to protect their dignity in public. This is harassment and needs urgent action. Please look into this.

For the first time I am disappointed, (raising funds for the cancer treatment of a soldier's son), the total funds raised in the last 11 days - about 8.5 lakhs, the target is 45 lakhs
The total views of my tweet - around 2.5 lakh, I'm just thinking that even a contribution of Rs 20 per person could have been enough for his son's treatment.
Anyway - I'll keep posting until the money is arranged.
Update
Goal -45 lakhs
Help received - 4.65 lakhs rs till now
Big Goal - please help Master Samanth Sawant for cancer treatment.
He needs almost 40 lakhs more for cancer treatment.
( please transfer via Bank account transfer if there is any problem in UPI payment)
