Happy Earth Day, JFK! Students celebrated Earth Day by making promises about how they will do their part to take care of our planet.  Students made a craft using coffee filters to create Earth as seen from space. Way to go, Mrs. DeGennaro's class! 🌎

JFK third grade students visited West Babylon Public Library! Students learned about guide dogs and met Sparky from the Smithtown Guide Dog Foundation. Students designed scenes for dogs and made cards for veterans. Students took a tour of the library and had fun!

JFK is wearing red, pink, and purple today to celebrate Valentine's Day and P.S. I Love You Day!

Ms. Prendergast's students are wearing red, pink and purple in celebration of Valentine's Day and P.S. I Love You Day! The students participated in a great activity, organized by our PTA, that focuses on the importance of being kind to prevent "wrinkled" hearts. P.S. I Love You!

JFK students and staff members wore their favorite team attire/jerseys today for the last day of our SOUPer Bowl!!  JFK predicts that the Philadelphia Eagles will win the Super Bowl! Thank you to all of our families for donating! We had so much fun playing in the SOUPer Bowl!

The Great Kindness Challenge is on at JFK! We are engaging in a week filled with fun activities, with a focus on being kind! Yesterday was Mismatch/Creative Hair Day. Today, we wore neon colors to brighten the day with kindness. Students took a pledge to be kind. Way to go, JFK!

Ms. Angelon and Mr. Koentje's 5th graders have pen pals! Students have been writing to another 5th grade class in rural Minnesota, about an hour away from Canada! Students have not only written letters, but exchanged drawings, photos, and information about our town and NY state!
