Watch the official trailer for #AmericanFiction, starring Jeffrey Wright, Tracee Ellis Ross, Issa Rae, and Sterling K. Brown. From Writer/Director Cord Jefferson. Only in theaters this December.
Was thinking, the day before the election, about doing this. There's nothing to be gained on this site anymore. Maybe there never was. Only things to be lost, as we just witnessed. Was funny, at times, at least, and an information portal. Now embittered, divisive, childish, chaotic and intentionally so. It's addictive and, ultimately, stupefying by design. The disinformation here is a weapon used on the vulnerable to distill power down to the disingenuous worst of us. It's working. This is a dead end. There are other means. I'm out.🤙🏾
Two great and relevant reads…
1) William F Buckley’s unwaveringly racist & oblivious justification in 1957 for all forms of discrimination (to include vote suppression) against southern Blacks - the kind of historical read many Republicans today want to pretend never existed.

In my piece @TheAtlantic, I argue something few are willing to admit: the Electoral College was designed to privilege white voters, and it continues to do so today. (1/5)

15% of the 3.2 Million Michiganders who have already voted this year did not vote in 2020.
Who are these 491K voters?
✅ 55% women, 45% men
✅ 136K are 18-21 years old (ineligible to vote in 2020)
✅ 73K are 22-30 years old
✅ 106K are over 60 years old

Women will vote Harris for the right to control their own bodies and futures.
Men will vote Trump for the right to be assholes.
Who'll show up stronger? My money's on the women.
"The number of female voters has exceeded the number of male voters in every presidential election since 1964."
This will make the difference today. Historic day coming.
