At today’s @DCMS Creative industries Growth Summit, alongside @lisanandy we announced:

📖£5m for @NewWritingNorth for a National Writing Centre in the heart of Newcastle.
✨£5m for @SundCulture Glassworks in Sunderland, regenerating and preserving the ancient skill of glassmaking for generations to come.
🎤Our region prioritised for Creative Industry investment.

All this matches our regional investment but we are unapologetically ambitious and we can do more. This is just the start…
