@BaileyCarlin Imagine if they called the FTs even. 24-24. That’s an extra 16 for the Knicks in the second half. Let’s say the Knicks only shoot 50% on those they win this game by 4. And that’s not including the stuff you already mentioned.
@iMdarnell_J I was nervous for the same reason. This has been building since game 1. It’s been a steady progression of whistles against the Knicks that took the series in game one from a 10 point victory & should have been larger. To a one point victory to now they finally got over the hump.
the most egregious ref moment of the night has to be the refs letting San Antonio rush a sub onto the court when they couldn't sub, running a second off the clock for the inbound they stopped, and not even issuing a delay of game warning
@klew24 Don’t do the caveat of calling the Knicks out for playing bad before saying what needs to be said. There have been more than a few obvious fouls that haven’t been called. The Knicks know how to play D that’s how they made the finals. Now they can’t stop fouling? That’s fishy.
@shwinnypooh No one wants to be the one to blame the refs so I’ll do it. With the way SAS play BBall there is no way they should ever have more FTA’s than the opposing team. This is the finals they both got there because they can play D. Now all of a sudden NYK can’t stop fouling? Come on.
Free throw advantage in Spurs’ wins in WCF/Finals:
Game 1 (2OT): Spurs 29, OKC 19
Game 4: Spurs 32, OKC 18
Game 6: Spurs 25, OKC 12
Game 7: Spurs 19, OKC 22
Game 3: Spurs 32, Knicks 22
Double-digit advantage in 4 of 5 wins while playing the physical defense they do is nuts lol
Just because he’s tall, foreign, and does all this performative look-at-me bullshit doesn’t mean he’s not a scumbag. This guy has the whole world fooled, drives me CRAZY.
Been happening all series long. They get to be ultra physical in front of the refs and the Knicks can’t. It also doesn’t hurt that at least one of the refs is obviously a fan because he referred to Wembanyama as Wemby. Totally unprofessional. @NBA
🚨BOMBSHELL: This Karmelo Anthony trial is a masterclass in why a certain sector of the Black community desperately needs to be put under a scientific microscope for incompetence and tribalism.
Now that it’s over, I can admit it.
These refs were favoring us.
The Knicks had to win by 15 in order to win by 1 — literally.
I love my Spurs, but I don’t want us to win in that manner.
Integrity of the game is more important to me: if we’re not the better team, let us lose.
@RyanGarciaESM Yankees have controllable pitching. They need to improve at two of either short, second base, or third base. They also need better hitting catchers. The pitching can easily get them all of that. If they don’t improve it’s because they don’t want to improve.
@ConorFoleyYES Yanks have the pitching. Which could net them almost anything. If they don’t fix the holes on this team they aren’t serious about winning. When the Sox had Adrian Gonzalez & it wasn’t working they traded him. Yankees? Let the guy suck til his contract runs out & has no value.
@TalkinYanks They keep running these losing players out there and expect them to change. Jazz swears he’s better than he is and he simply is not. So sick of this. It’s exactly why I have stepped back as a Yankees fan. I used to watch every single game now I just follow from X.
