@Kira_Learning is running a free cohort called AI 101 for Educators, and the next one kicks off Aug. 26.
Here's what you get:
✅ Coursework you complete on your own time
✅ Two live sessions with other teachers figuring this out alongside you

Can AI actually support critical thinking in the classroom? Absolutely! 🧠🤖
Contrary to the misconception that AI replaces student thinking, it can actually serve as a powerful springboard for deeper analysis.
The ABC Rule: Always Be Critiquing
Whenever you share AI-generated content with students—whether it’s text, images, or code—have them evaluate it using these prompts:
Identify Flaws: "What feels a little off or inaccurate?"
Ask Questions: "What questions or doubts does this raise?"
Refine & Improve: "How would you rewrite or redesign this using your own human knowledge?"
Teaching students to critique AI output builds a culture of critical evaluation and media literacy that helps them question sources and improve on initial ideas.

Transform student feedback into feed forward! 💡🗣️
At the ISTE Conference, Christie Cloud explained how AI tools allow teachers to scale feedback that is both timely and specific—something that used to be nearly impossible with large class sizes.
Why "Feed Forward" matters:
Drives Learning: Focuses on actionable guidance that helps students move forward rather than just evaluating past work.
Scalable Support: AI-enhanced tools like Brisk, Curipod, and Snorkl make personalized feedback manageable for every student.
Research-Backed: Puts John Hattie’s feedback research into practice at scale!

Bring a "Retail Rewards Program" into your classroom this year! ☕⭐
Motivate students without relying strictly on gradebook points by setting up a points or ticket system modeled after loyalty programs.
How it works:
Earn Points: Create a menu of tasks or positive behaviors students can complete to earn stars or tickets.
Track Progress: Keep track of earned points on a simple spreadsheet.
Redeem Rewards: Let students redeem points for small treats or classroom privileges—like taking their shoes off during class!
