I was very saddened to get the news last Sunday that Tom Dorward, the co-owner and luthier at the Halifax Folklore Centre passed away on January 8th. Tom and his wife, Marla, co-founded the Folklore together over 50 years ago and the shop has contributed so much to...

My records certainly wouldn’t be the same without the instruments that he made ring so true. My sincere condolences to Marla, the whole family and friends. Tom - you are missed.

Hey Folks,
My voice seems to be cautiously returning, the van is packed and it’s looking up for Tuesday in Paris and beyond. I suspect I’ll still be a bit hoarse but I’m hoping everybody there will help me out singing any notes I can’t hit.  Thanks again for the best wishes.

Still trying to figure out how to use this old Leica Iiif Rangefinder so Sam & Dave are looking a little hazy but I managed to capture @arkellsmusic rocking Moncton in a sea of mobile phones with a little more accuracy.
Looking forward to getting back to it.

My sincere apologies to all of you who this has inconvenienced and I remain hopeful this will be the last round of changes before I get back to the stage next week.

Never a dull moment. I’ll see ya soon!

Hi Folks,

Thanks to all of you who’ve been sending along kind messages. You’ve lifted my spirits and it means a lot.
Been quite of week of coughing and whatnot but I’m starting to see some improvements and was happy to find out there are no signs of pneumonia.

[Joel Plaskett @joelplaskett]

…and it can be sorted out. For those of you who can still make it, rest assured I’ll do my best to make these nights an epic 2025 finale to the One Real Tardy Reveal on Wheels tour.
