“Dad! You know what?”
“What?”
“I want to tell everyone about Jesus!”
“That’s wonderful! What would you tell them?”
“Um, that he is God and can save sinners and do miracles. I want to tell everybody every day!”
“You do that, J (age 4). You do that every day of your life.”
The most consequential period in recent religious history was 1991-1998.
During this very short window of time, among 18-35 year olds.
The Christian share dropped by 14 pts.
The non-religious share rose by 12 pts.
We are living with the consequences of that.
I don’t think people truly do understand how HARD it is to do what Oklahoma & Ohio State have done for 25 years.
It’s all fun and games talking about “hOw MaNy NaTtIeS” but when you understand how impressive they’ve been since the turn of the century, that’s when you’ve grown up as a College Football Fan.

Piglet listened, a little nervously, to the roaring of the Gale among the tree-tops.
“Supposing a tree fell down, Pooh, when we were underneath it?”
“Supposing it didn’t,” said Pooh after careful thought. ~A.A.Milne #PositiveThinking

Theologically conservative men who attend church regularly test out as the most loving and engaged husbands and fathers.
Why does church make such a difference?
"Churches are one of the few places that actually foster male involvement in the family. “Let’s face it,” writes sociologist Brad Wilcox. “The church is one of the few institutions in the United States where men encounter other men who are interested in talking about fatherhood and marriage— and interested also in practicing what they hear preached.”
He goes on:
“You don’t often find it at work;
you don’t find it in the sports stadium;
you don’t find it in the local tavern.
But in church what you will find is a message and ethos that is family- focused and gives men the motivation to attend to their families.”
Biblical Christianity gives men a powerful incentive to reject toxic behavior and connect to their families."
