SB hot take.
Change pitching rules. Take away lanes. Let pitchers go as high or to the side as they want. If they go outside of the circle then it’s an illegal pitch.
Rules are supposed to guard competitive disadvantages and the only pitching one would be how close is release
@AMMCelli Hi Adam! IMO SB not ready for ABS. I believe that the rules limit how pitchers pitch and it keeps them confined to throwing straight to home plate. It’s harder to control umpires but we can have rules allow for variance in how you’re throwing. Easier to change.
@dizelectric Because a closer release shrink that time to the plate. I’m thinking of MLB Carter Capps rule but he’s crow hopping. Maybe increase circle by 2-3 in.
This is awesome: ESPN is launching a sports-only trivia show called “ESPN Jeopardy!” this summer.
ESPN Jeopardy! is expected to air on Hulu and Disney+, and may also run on linear TV on ABC and ESPN’s streaming platforms.
Joe Buck is closing in on a deal to host the show.
Tracking wOBA by exit velo to see if the 65 mph HH rate still applies for softball. comparing to MLB.
changing hard hit EV to 6-7
*someone check the math if you see something different!
@Chelledyn I see at of that. The catcher put the ball in his pocket. Im under the assumption that the play should have been called dead once he did that!
Someone verify this for me.
Once the catcher put the ball into his pants pocket isnt the play dead? Runners awarded one base? Not sure if this is actually how it ended
