In my final year as Chair, I will be laser focused on:
1. Strengthening our homelessness response
2. Ensuring Preschool for All delivers universal access by 2030
3. Centering the needs of diverse communities, even as an authoritarian federal administration attacks our neighbors
Serving as your Multnomah County Chair has been one of the most challenging and meaningful experiences of my life, second only to that of being a parent.
After a lot of reflection and heartfelt conversations with my family, I’ve decided not to seek another term as Chair.
Also, all supporters are welcome and encouraged to join our election party tonight, from 7-9 at Produce Row Cafe. Details and registration here: https://t.co/mGKM6jDYfS (4/4)
Voting closes at 8 PM today. With only a few hours to go, I truly want to thank every single person who has supported my campaign for Multnomah County Chair. Throughout this campaign, we have brought together a broad coalition of supporters, who may not agree on everything, (1/4)
To everyone who has voted for me, I want to thank you. It has meant the world to me to see so many people stand up for the future we believe in. If you haven't already, vote JVP. Thank you to everyone who has supported me from my very first campaign through today. (3/4)
Our next @multco chair needs to be able to bring together a broad coalition to tackle our community's greatest challenges. I'm the only candidate in this race with such a record, with thousands of people - community members, labor, advocacy orgs. & publications on #TeamJVP.
Today is the last day to vote- make sure to turn your ballot in by 8 PM. A vote for JVP is a vote for a proven leader and a progressive path forward. #TeamJVP

Local elected officials and activists support me because I show up for our community. I've worked to pass legislation that positively impacts daily life in Multnomah County for all who live here. As your Chair, I will fight for a better future for Multnomah County. #TeamJVP
Tomorrow is election day and JVP is the only candidate in this race with the experience and widespread support necessary to be successful as your next Multnomah County Chair. #TeamJVP https://t.co/iQi7clujC9
Community leaders support me because I have advocated for policies that support underrepresented communities in Multnomah County. I have a track record of listening to community members, rather than corporate interests, and working on behalf of every citizen of Multnomah County.
As a latina elected official, I know how important it is to center the voices of BIPOC communities in the decision making process. I am proud to have the endorsement of organizations fighting for racial justice. We will work together to support BIPOC and immigrant communities.
