One of the wildest verses on marriage is 1 Peter 3:7 where husbands are told to live with their wives in an understanding way “so that your prayers may not be hindered.”

God so closely connects our relationship with Him to how we treat our wives that a husband cannot neglect, dismiss, or dishonor his wife while expecting intimacy with God to remain unaffected.
