We actually needed federal protection because, without it, people in power decided who counted… and who didn’t.

We’re debating whether those protections still matter.

As if history expired...

It didn’t. It evolved.

More polished. More procedural.

We already know—
access has never been guaranteed.

We had to fight for what was described as "certain inalienable rights".

So this isn’t overreaction.
It’s recognition.

Because when voting protections are weakened, the real question is:
